Devery Henderson will miss about two weeks with the hamstring injury he suffered in Friday's game.

Sean Payton said there was no tear, and tests revealed it was a Grade II strain, which is positive news.

This concerns me as a DH owner in both of my leagues. Hamstrings tend to linger. I hope they just sit the guy for a week longer than necessary to make sure it heals. Then again, I don't want him to lose his starting job to someone else because of the injury.

I wouldn't worry about him losing out to another. Patten has a toe issue, I think. Meachem is way down on the depth chart. That leaves Copper. He's really only situational as players go...

this clouds things up a bit, I was high on Henderson...but Hammies tend to linger/re-aggravate a lot. You really think it's Copper over Meacham?

Especially speedy WRs who are useless if they cannot get deep. The regression to the mean for Drew Brees is starting.
I don't think this is accurate at all. Henderson isn't going to set the world on fire. Copper or Meacham will likely fill in just fine. The guy most affected might be Colston.

Exactly what I want to see...hopefully his ADP slides even further as a result of this insignificant news.

Meachem is still a work in progress. He's still learning the system, getting reps and training. Copper has a year under his belt. Patten's toe injury isn't serious but could linger. He would move up over both those guys. Meachem might overtake the #3 spot by year's end though if he continues to progress...

I agree that Meachem is a work in progress, but that TD catch he made the other night gives me hope. the fact that he held onto the ball and was able to get his knee down in the corner of the end zone means that he has pretty good awareness for a rookie. IMO, I think there's a good chance he could be the #3 by midseason.

Brees without Devery last year:76/108 70% 795yds 5/2 99.1 QBrIn case you didn't notice, every WR was hurt at some point last season, and Brees never skipped a beat.

there has been some good training camp buzz about Lance Moore, he also had a decent night against Buffalo.....look for him to get some extra reps also with Henderson out.

dude's like 5'9. he's a streak of lightning on the field, no doubt, but guys his size don't make much of an impact beyond special teams. that's tim dwight syndrome, i believe...

Never discount a Wr based on height alone. Deion Branch and Santana Moss are 5' 10. Then you have the wannabe Tim Dwight guy named Steve Smith who is also 5' 9. Hopefully he makes a name for himself someday.
