What is the story on Dewayn White.

Lions ust got him. Is he pretty good, bad.

Any input from those in tampa?

The only thing I would add to Quez is that White has had a nose for the football the last 2 years. It appears he has a knack for stripping/causing turnovers, or recovering one each time the ball is on the ground. I think you'll have a nice solid player.

Not a fan of either team, but I thought White was the best DE in free agency, all things considered.

:lmao:

He's better than Kalimba Edwards, but not sure if he's an upgrade over James Hall. Hall may be a better 2-way DE, but White seems is probably a better pass rusher. As a Lions fan, I like the move.. I wish they could've kept Hall around and shown Kalimba the door, but it is what it is.

I think (reading between the lines) that the Lions front office is leaning heavily on Marinelli, Martz and Barry when making their moves this offseason. That can't be any worse than having Millen call all the shots knowing how badly he's pooched things in the past few years. It doesn't necessarily mean it's a good thing either.

Does he have the talent to be a 3 down player?

FWIW, Marinelli obviously likes White a lot and said he has only scratched the surface of his potential.

 Marinelli gets way more out of the average D-line player. Also, Marinelli is the best d-line coach in the game, so if he thinks he was worth bringing in then...

:bye: White has shown some two-way potential -- he's had a very solid 30 solo tackles (after subtracting sacks) for the past two seasons as a situational rusher/injury replacement -- but was too inconsistent against the run to bump the underrated Greg Spires from the lineup on early downs.
