yesit was a pass, then a lateral back to him and then he threw it forward for an illegal forward pass:From sportsline:
-QG17) (Shotgun) B.Favre pass short left to L.Washington to NYJ 5 for 4 yards. Lateral to B.Favre to NYJ 7 for 2 yards. B.Favre pass incomplete short right to J.Cotchery.PENALTY on NYJ-B.Favre, Illegal Forward Pass, 3 yards, enforced at NYJ 7.

Last year, we all thought his last pass in the NFL was going to be an INT. Perhaps he didn't want it to happen again. Now his last pass in the NFL was illegal.

He must have been so pissed when that WR threw the ball back to him...
Now he ends with an ilegal pass and a hit that put him on his tush pretty hard.
