I know that the Edge is having a tough year. What I can't figure out is why the owner in our league with Edge would cut him to pick up Kevan Barlow? At best Barlow will most likely be sharing carries with Leon Washington the rest of the year.
Yeah, Edge only managed 55 yards last week (against the Chicago D), but he had 30+ carries. He had all but 2 carries while trying to run out the clock.
The most interesting thing is that this is NOT for a bye week filler either. In fact, the Edge might just have a respectable game this week facing Oakland. Why not try to sell him high after a good game, or at the least use a RBBC approach with the other rostered RBs. He could have dropped Mike Turner or even DeAngelo Williams for Barlow if he really felt Barlow was going to be the full time starter. (no the owner didn't have Tomlinson, and its only a 1 man keeper redraft league).
So, was there some local news that was kept rather quiet, or did I just flat out miss some national news about the Edge having an issue that would prevent him from playing much the rest of the year.
I'm debating on putting a waiver wire bid in the Edge...but I'm still trying to figure out why this owner cut him.

That is what it sounds like to me especially if the league has no waiver rules. And if it is first come first serve all he had to do was tell the other person when the add/drop was going down. Although he could be an idiot or a kid owner running the team 
. If everyone knows each other in your league then this sounds like what is happening. Which is why certain leagues have undroppable players and or a commisioner because something like that would make me not even want to play.
