All four of these are great, "Iced Over" is out of this stratosphere.'snogger said:With the Spring time melting going on figured I'd venture down to Willow River Falls to see what effect it was having.
Lot's of changes coming to my photos down there as the extra water has been splashing up on the trees and branches, causing a lot of them to break and/or bend into new shapes.
It will be interesting to see once all the melting occurs how this tree recovers: Mother Nature reconstruction
I'm amazed this one didn't break off yet:

Chilly morning
Thought this one in B&W came out niceFrozen view

I like it, the background you added goes really nice with the toy robot.
I like the composition on "Stand Out" the best, nice job with that. The colors on "bamboo" are really great, good looking image.
Agreed. very cool effect. All four of these are great, "Iced Over" is out of this stratosphere.'snogger said:With the Spring time melting going on figured I'd venture down to Willow River Falls to see what effect it was having.

Thanks. Funny thing is, there's a Photoshop technique to turn that yellow and red background into fire in a few more steps, but I was too lazy to look it up again.I like it, the background you added goes really nice with the toy robot.
Some morefrom my hike:
Thanks all!I went down there expecting to see "some" changes due to the extra melting, but I was taken by surprise seeing everything frozen over like it is and the destruction that Mother Nature can be.Agreed. very cool effect. All four of these are great, "Iced Over" is out of this stratosphere.'snogger said:With the Spring time melting going on figured I'd venture down to Willow River Falls to see what effect it was having.

Thanks.. It has been unseasonably cold so far.. we had one week above average, but the last week or so the high has been around freezing, with nights down in the single digits. Suppose to "warm up" to around 50 this weekend..Great pics. Especially loved Frozen View and Alone. F/10 on Alone was perfect DOF.Oh, and I can't believe it still looks that frozen still.![]()

Nice job on these, like the panorama in pic 1. Pic 2 is really cool with the contours of the water creating an S shape around the green, shot is well composed.
Nice.I'm a big fan of HDR that doesn't make the picture too "cartoony", if you know what I mean.
Thanks. Looking forward to Monterey Peninsula in Calif. this weekend.Nice job on these, like the panorama in pic 1. Pic 2 is really cool with the contours of the water creating an S shape around the green, shot is well composed.
Thanks for the compliment Crosseyed, I have tried to stay away from the really ridiculous HDR pics, so I definately know exactly what you mean.'CrossEyed said:Nice.I'm a big fan of HDR that doesn't make the picture too "cartoony", if you know what I mean.

Really like the B&W work on this oneI gave my first try at slow exposure shots. The ones of beach landscapes didn't turn out so hot. It's trickier than I thought to find a low light situation but also an interesting composition given the low light. I liked how some of the waterfall and stones pictures turned out better.

This type of shot might look awesome at twilight on a long exposure with the cars zooming by. Would love to see it if you can ever get itI have a hard time finding this thread in search.
Anyway, here's a shot I took in Chinatown in NYC.

Agreed, the colors are brilliant. Actually most of the shots in his set had really nice processing on the colors.'snogger said:Like the colors and focus here.'Sarnoff said:![]()
Thanks man. No real reason on the exposure, it was overcast a bit earlier in the day and I may not have been paying a lot of attention with the changing light conditions. I figure I'm going to play around with them so much in photoshop, as long as I'm close, it won't matter too much as long as the camera gets the basic details. Here's the original of the guy in the air, for example, I had to play around with that one a bit to get it looking right.'AcerFC said:Crazy Guy 2 = Money. Great shotLove the action shots. To me the easiest way to do it is to book mark this:http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=214901&view=getnewpostDoes anyone else have a hard time searching for this thread? If there's a trick, I'd love to know it.If it's a problem for most of us, we should consider making a new thread. I know there's a lot of good stuff in here, maybe we could link to it in the first post but a new thread may be the best idea.
