Dilfer claims Titans stole Baltimore Playbook (1 Viewer)

Another good "America's Game" last night.

Interesting note - following the Ravens' regular season win at Tennessee, he came back to the locker room and his playbook was gone.

He says that when Baltimore went back to Tennessee for the playoffs, it was clear that the Titans had the Ravens playbook. Anyone believe that? I'm sure the Titans would never admit it.

And yet . . .

Code:
AFC Divisional Playoff: won 24 - 10 at Tennessee Titans
The Ravens had only 134 yards of total offense and six first downs.two of there scores were from defense/ special teams;Anthony Mitchell's 90-yard return of a blocked field goal and Ray Lewis' 50-yard interception return

funny story.

In the NHL playoffs when the Red Wings were playing the St.Louis Blues, some Blues player left his playbook in the hotel, an employee found it and called the wings flagship station and offered up the playbook

The argument being that this was somehow inferior to what they were accustomed to doing on offense in 2000?

The Ravens weren't BAD on offense in 2000...they were just average. They ranked in the middle of the pack offensively.

And he did. After Dilfer got the starting job through that season the Ravens were actually among the better offensive teams in the league from that point on.

I think its en vogue to pick on the Titans in the press the past few season. With Peyton's jabs, to all the Pac-Man ridicule. Personally I don't believe it. I do believe that Dilfer thinks it's true, but I must say I've lost respect for him to go public with it so many years after the fact.

Ok, so what's the approved shelf life for that story according to Tennessee fans?

I dunno. I think it expired already...

Regardless of where my loyalties lie, would you wait over six years to accuse someone of cheating you? 2259 days have passed since the play-off game, even more since his playbook has went missing. I just don't see the point of him bringing it up now.How long do you feel someone should have to accuse an organization of stealing a playbook? And do you feel that a lost playbook is enough evidence to justify the story six years after the fact?

A coon's age.

Similar to when Malik Sealy left his playbook at the airport and Don Imus read it over the air.
