For those of us who have an iPhone and the Sunday ticket (and Superfan), you can now download the app to watch the games on your phone.

DIRECTV's Supercast NFL Mobile is now available for download from the iTunes App Store.

Should be coming for Crackberry users, too, at some point.http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/mobile/supercast/
If a friend has Sunday Ticket and I have a blackberry, can I download the app?

Anyone know if you need to be on a wireless network for this to work? Is there any chance it works on 3G? I'm guessing not, but one can dream. I've already got 2 different parties on Sunday afternoons this season that I am required to go to at places with no f'n TVs.

Down to only 14 weeks of fantasy football already and and the season hasn't even started yet, I still don't f'n understand why people plan parties on Sunday afternoons during football season. :lmao:

I sense a...cough...cough....cold coming on, don't you?

has anybody downloaded the Sunday Ticket app and used it on their iPhone yet? Just got offered tix for a game this weekend, but they're pretty bad seats and I probably won't go -- but I might, especially if I can watch Sunday Ticket while I'm there. Curious to know how well it works.

Yes, it works on 3G and pretty well. It's a tiny screen, but better than nothing.Regarding using it at the stadium, good luck with that. I guess it depends on your reception. I tried it at the Jets-Texans game and I couldn't get reception. It wasn't until after the game in the parking lot that I got to see the afternoon games. As much as I love going to football games, it's a nightmare for fantasy football. You have catch all the highlights or DVR games to really follow what happened that Sunday. I wish the stadiums would provide more game stats.

My brother gets ZERO reception at the Jets games with his 3G iPhone. I doubt you will either. Stinks, but Verizon is much better when it comes to that type of studd (but crappy phones).

Agree. I've got JETS season tix and I'm sitting watching the JETS/Pats game with my blackberry browser open to NFL.com or cnnsi.com (sometimes easier to load in congested areas as less graphics) simply trying to check on game scores and who scored the TDs in other games in between possession. Due to congestion, the browser constantly (Verizon) freezes up and I simply bag it half the time. My son's I-Phone (Verizon) is a bit more reliable, but I would agree that it would likely unwatchable to try to activate the Sunday Ticket in an NFL stadium and get smooth, uninterrupted video. What is equally annoying is that my JETS seats are in the lower level under the over hang where I have one of the TV monitors right in front of me -- it shows the CBS feed of the game, great for replays, but for some BS reason they delete out all of the game break updates and scrolling stats on the bottom of the screen.

streamed over 3g for a six hour ride on sunday, and only encountered slowness in areas where i had less than 3 bars. it is total sickness. streamed directly over 3g, no Wi Fi needed. just killer.

I have the Blackberry Tour, and it kept telling me that it could not connect to the Directv Server, does anyone else have the tour and did you have issues?

man I have an iphone just don't have directTV. I wonder if there is any way to use this app without having DirectTV? I will have to hound all my buddies to try to find a log in.

All you need is their login information. But once you're logged in, they cant be.

I tried calling Directv to see if I could just buy the superfan to watch the games on the net. Basically giving them 100 bucks just to watch the niners, they said no.

Depends on your service. I know that at Soldier Field, it's a nightmare for AT&T users. I can't even get a call out let alone downloads from the internet. Yet, for some reason, the Verizon guys have no problem using their phones for whatever they want.

The slowness problems experienced by some iphone users in major cities, like San Francisco is that there is a huge number of iPhone users in these markets and the AT&T network is just plain flooded. Verizon doesn't get to experience this yet since they have overall in these markets less traffic on their data networks. When the iPhone is finally freed from AT&T then the other networks will have the same issues, however they hopefully will respond better than AT&T has.

One great option is to get one of those mifi Verizon data network cards that have the wifi access to their network and then just use the iPhone or iPod touch over that, then you have the best of both worlds!
