I did a quick search and was unable to find any discussion regarding this topic.  I am looking at a decent sized dental bill and felt it was divine providence that the 'Hey Dentist' thread popped up.  However, I have no idea what that thread is about.  My family is facing a significant dental bill in the near future and I am interested in saving as much as possible.  I am self-employed in Florida.

What kind of dental coverage to FBG's use?

We accept cash, credit card, and checks.   You can save money by brushing and flossing on the daily, and not drinking acidic garbage instead of water.    Also don't smoke.

Use an HSA if that's an option,  should save you 25+% assuming you're in that tax bracket like most FBG's

Yes, anywhere from 6-18 month waiting period before anything "major" is covered.  I know, I sell the stuff.  This keeps people from only buying dental coverage when they have " significant dental bills in the near future."
