Disney Vacation (4 Viewers)

I haven't lost less than 4 lbs over a weekend yet, and that includes an ohana night.

My wife and I went to EPCOT in July and I lost 4 pounds in a day.

Spaceship Earth queue at Epcot. Gonna ride this than head out to the World Showcase for lunch. Thinking Japanese QSR for entrees and the ice cream place in France for dessert.

I hate you both.
Via Napoli for dinner tonight.
The Canada band is either out of tune or running a crap audio system. Avoid.
Thanks. Heading over to the world now. Supposed to be a nice display of handmade German ornaments over at the SS from 1-7.
those are amazing. The artist was there yesterday taking custom orders and making them while you wait. Great stuff.

Those of y'all in the parks and want to play "Find Bruce". I'm wearing a Kingdom Of Zamunda soccer jersey with Soul Glo and McDowell's sponsor patches. (I customized a blank one myself.)

Maybe I should not walk my wife over there.

Please say this is true.
No shtick. I made it for a neighborhood event about a year ago. I get stopped and asked about it all the time.
That's amazing. I'm a big fat guy in a yellow Mickey shirt and FSU hat. If you see me yell "crab legs for Jameis" and I will give a knowing hat tip.

The QS French place has great baked goods for dessert. Plus Chocolate Mousse. /thread
Everything Mr. Ected said here is true.

We went to the ice cream stand because my wife wanted to try one of the ice cream sandwiches with the ice cream inside a pressed brioche. I had a chocolate macaron. I'm now plotting to go back in time to kill Little Debbie as a child so no one ever settles for mediocre dessert.

There are two of them being delivered to my hotel today. :bag:

So of course she saw it without me even saying anything and we walked out with a bag. :lmao:

God d#mn this place.

DHS has been a blast. Our FPs for RNR and TOT were during standby times over an hour. Caught the Osborne Lights during the first Phantasmic show, before the streets got too crowded. Fun vibe, too: lots of people singing along with the music, groups help other group find Hidden Mickeys in the lights, minimal photobombing.

Gonna wrap it up here soon, then try to time our arrival at MK to see the fireworks from the boat. And hopefully see short wait times after a wave of park goers leave after the fireworks.

We had plans to go to MK tonight but when I see 40 minute wait times for mediocre rides that's when I usually punt. Must be a GRIP of people there.

Made it to Magic Kingdom! That's all four parks in the same day. Gonna meet a few characters during the parade, and then see what ride queues drop down as the hour gets later.

It's been great fun. As I entered MK I held up four fingers to all, like a college football player getting hyped up for the start of the fourth quarter.

:lmao: still seeing an hour wait for mike train and space mountain, which geez...nuts.

How long have you been there? Feels like weeks...

Yeah, Space Mountain, Mine Train, and Peter Pan are still in great demand. We're gonna hit Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder, and if lines haven't calmed down on the Tomorrowland side we're gonna call it a night.

We flew in on 12/7 and leave 12/22.

Seriously your kids must think you're a legend.

Thanks to all for indulging me in yesterday's liveblogging of my quest to do all four parks in one day. It was successful, fun, and tiring.

Gonna relax at the hotel today. No plans to venture out until dinner. At Ohana. To view the MK fireworks. Then we plan to boat it over to MK and see how long we can last. We fly home tomorrow.

And thanks again to all who contribute to this thread. It's a great resource for trip planning and ideas. I've learned and lot and had a lot of laughs here. Much appreciated.

Hit up Kona Cafe for brunch on our rest day this morning. I'd definitely recommend it. Had the Somoan (hash, poached eggs, hollandaise) and it was very good. Others had the Tonga Toast. It's great, but really sweet.

X2. We have hit this a few times before the drive home. The Wave is also a good early lunch location

Sigh.

At MCO awaiting the flight home.

A thunderstorm at 5:30-6:00 plus threatening skies thinned out the park crowds a little, so after dinner (RBM - I had 2 pot stickers, and they both were fabulous) we ventured in to MK and got short wait times and spacious courtside seats for the Electrical Parade.

Our last ride for leaving was Space Mountain, so we waved at the ride photo camera to say, "so long".

Breakfast this morning at Whispering Canyon. As we finished, we asked for some ketchup, and in WC tradition over 20 ketchup bottles materialized at our table in less than a minute. My daughter and I started building a ketchup bottle pyramid. After we built a 6-5-4-3-2-1 tower, we had a couple of bottles left, so we just stacked them above the top point of the pryamid. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant and near the end of breakfast service, so the place got pretty quiet as we tried to go higher. Wether we got to 6-5-4-3-2-1-1-1, our waiter tried to put a plate on the top. Unsuccessful. Hilarious shtick ensued among the staff over his judgment error. We left with big smiles on our faces and full stomachs. Mickey waffles are good. Mickey Waffles fresh off the iron and brought right out to you are amazing.

Odds on me trying to open the door to the house with a MagicBand are about +140.

Till next year?

I really hate you. I won't be back until May. And I have 30 pounds to drop before that. I'm actually thinking of trying to enter the Animal Kingdom 5K the first week of May, although right now they are saying it is sold out, but they usually open a few more spots as it gets closer. Either way, I'm losing that 30 for the simple fact that I need more energy in that place as my age is starting to catch up to me at 11pm.

If you are thinking of doing the AK 5K, you might want to make sure you do it this year, I read somewhere that it was going to be the last one.

Going, going, gone! Don't let this opportunity to participate in the final run of the Expedition Everest Challenge pass you by!

If you've ever dreamed of scaling new heights in a thrill-packed running adventure, here is your chance to take the Expedition Everest Challenge during its final run. It's an adrenaline-driven, excitement-packed weekend that includes a great 5k run on a breathtaking, obstacle-strewn course in Disney's Animal Kingdom® Park, combined with all the excitement of a scavenger hunt. Topping off the fun is a Post-Race Party with plenty of Disney entertainment and exclusive ride access.

I wore down as the trip progressed. On our four-park day, we got back to the hotel at about 1:30 am and I was asleep when my head hit the pillow. Didn't move until an alarm woke me up. At noon.

Marathon weekend in a few weeks. Not like I will be doing much as I will be one of the idiots doing the Goofy. I'll be the guy looking like he can't move Sunday at the Ohanna bar waiting for a table.

Snacked around the world and almost hit all the countries.

Mexico-Guac and chips

China-Pot Stickers

Germany-Brat and Nudel Gratin

Japan-Sushi

Morocco-Lamb Platter

France-Crepe and Croque Glaces

We were going to do Fish & Chips in the UK and Spoon Bread in Norway, but we tapped out.

If you have not tried a Croque Glaces in the France ice cream shop, punch yourself in the face and then tell yourself you deserved it. Brioche bread sliced in half, ice cream scoop in the middle (profiterole is my choice) raspberry sauce on top. Then the other half of the bread is put on top before going into a warm press that heats the bread and seals in the cold ice cream. Um, it's good.
