My point is that Lobster at a home and at a restaurant is really no different (especially at a steak house). There are exceptions such for example one time at the French Laundry I had butter poached lobster as part of tasting menu and that is probably not something you could replicate at home. That's why I didn't care. its called TRON..and its going to be built right next doorOk Mickey... time to drop the bomb on space mountain and start over. Put in the same Hyperspace Mountain you got in Euro disney (in English obv) and you got the best ride in the park X2.
Disney bought the streaming video company MLB started to be the backbone for their future content delivery plans, both for the movie catalog and for live streaming of their TV channels. I imagine they will sell their stake in Hulu to help finance the purchase, but they would need to find a buyer.Non park news: Disney to pull all of its streaming content from Netflix and create their own streaming network.
####ty, but it makes sense. Disney is a broadcasting and entertainment company fist, resorts second and a theme parks somewhere around #5-8. With them owning the hemorrhaging ESPN they need to drive the alt-cable content delivery rather then just ride along in someone else's speedway car.
Disneyland runs the Hyperspace Mountain overlay several months of the year. The first time I heard the Star Wars overture while the train made that first climb, it moved.Ok Mickey... time to drop the bomb on space mountain and start over. Over the past few years I've had a CedarFair season pass and a Six Flags one. For my family, part of the experience of going to those parks was the compare/contrast with how Disney does it. It's fascinating how many little details Disney sweats out, and how much all those little details add up over the course of a park day. Like accurate maps, or knowledgable cast members, or cleaning up trash. So we did busch gardens the past few days. Its good. But Disney is just sooo much better. My wife commented, all these other places can learn from Disney. Even little things like a map.
I think Disney needs to learn a few things from their own parks and move it to their roads. So we did busch gardens the past few days. Its good. But Disney is just sooo much better. My wife commented, all these other places can learn from Disney. Even little things like a map.

I see so many cars driving over medians and cutting across solid lines. So many cars stopping and looking at their gps.
We were trying to get to port orleans coming from animal kingdom lodge. Sign lists port orleans and says next exit. So we exit. There is a fork. Well do we go right or left? There is a sign that says Hollywood studios, Epcot, and disney springs pointing to the right, no mention of the resorts that were on the exit sign. I figure that means we must have to stay going straight then up to the stoplight. At the light you can only go left. We turn left, google catches up and tells me to take a u-turn in half a mile. Half a mile??? I think to myself, well then I see the next three places all have no uturn signs until finally there is a light without one.
Just in that half mile stretch I saw like 4 cars make illegal u-turns. All Disney needs to do is put a sign that says "resorts" with an arrow pointing to the right. Or put a sign that lists all the resorts that were on the exit sign pointing to the right since every one of them was to the right. Or put NEXT EXIT AND TURN RIGHT on the first sign.
If you are ever unsure how to get to Wide world of sports though you are a moron since that has about 75 signs for it. Animal kingdom gets like 4. WWOS gets 75.
I enjoy when I see families get stuck in the medians. It is possible I have heckled them. I always feel a little bad for the kids, but that lasts only a tiny bit when I remember that crappy parents usually means crappy kids.![]()
Compounding the problem is GPS-based directions apps don't always match the road signs. So there are times where Disney wants cars to take a certain route, but your Maps app wants you to take a different one. So you've got a flawed road sign system that is very difficult to follow, and potentially and a voice in your car sometimes telling you to ignore the signs. It's a wonder there aren't more car crashes on WDW property.
Recalculating.... Recalculating....
####. This makes me want to get a WDW AP. "Go ahead girls, enjoy Animal Kingdom. I'm gonna find a nice spot near high traffic and watch tourists make Clark Griswold look like Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Let's meet up at Via Napoli for dinner."I enjoy when I see families get stuck in the medians. Saw a Honda Pilot on this trip that had so much mud striping on it and the tires had dug all the way down to the frame being beached since they put it in 4 wheel and spun them. Good job dad.
do you get a FP for that?####. This makes me want to get a WDW AP. "Go ahead girls, enjoy Animal Kingdom. I'm gonna find a nice spot near high traffic and watch tourists make Clark Griswold look like Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Let's meet up at Via Napoli for dinner."
It's part of a "Dad's Day Out" package: 18 holes at Magnolia, watch traffic cluster####s, sit-down dinner at Epcot World Showcase, then to Downtown Disney for the secret "Disney After Dark" gentlemen's club where you get a lap dance from a princess of your choice. I'm an Ariel man myself, but you can't go wrong with any of the offerings there.do you get a FP for that?
will share models, concept art and more. Like its predecessor, the new attraction will continue showcasing historic items from Walt Disney’s history, such as sketches, photos and storyboards.
Starting in mid-September, you’ll be able to view concept art, ride vehicle maquettes and a never-before-seen model for Toy Story Land. A portion of the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge model also will be on display, as well as concept art for the new Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railwayattraction.
I saw all the happenings on twitter last night and felt kind of bad. I did the Movie Ride 15 years ago before kids, but in 4 trips to Disney we'd never even thought about going on Ellens or the Movie ride with the kids. Guess thats why they're doing away with them.File under "you just can't make this #### up"
Yesterday was the last day fro both Ellen's Energy Adventure and Great movie Ride. And according to a FB group I being to, the very last ride on Ellen's Energy Adventure broke down and everyone had to be evac'ed out. Made for some great pictures though.
I did that in 1993, lol. We did Sea World also.Just found out that my son's HS marching band is heading down to WDW to march in early November. We will be busing down from DC for a 4 day weekend.
Any word on how popular this service was? Are they retiring due to lack to demand, or is it to clear the path for the MinnieVans?FYI: the express bus service will end on Aug 23rd. Seems the MiniVan service will be replacing them as the 'quicker' alternative to buses.
I have no 1st hand knowledge...it started after my last trip there. but according to this:Any word on how popular this service was? Are they retiring due to lack to demand, or is it to clear the path for the MinnieVans?
From casual observation, it appeared the service was not being used by enough guests, with the majority continuing to make use of the standard park transfer options.
I know the MK one loaded backstage behind main st and I didn't know the Epcot stop was over by Ellen's.With construction about to start at MK and now with Guardians about to start at Epcot it's going to be in the way. So my guess is that is why it's closing. May come back once all is complete way down the road. Could have been a test for something later on too.
you can follow the journey on their own Disney created web site at disney30days30stays.comThe Gee family, known to their many social media followers as the Bucket List family, are famous for selling off all their possessions to travel the world with their two young kids. In two years, they’ve visited 45 countries, endured 150 flights and experienced their fair share of unlikely adventures, from diving with whales in Tonga to building a school in Nepal.
But tech entrepreneur Garrett, his wife Jessica, and their children, Dorothy and Manilla, are about to embark on a very different extreme trip: a full month inside Disney World.
I did it as well back in 1985, freshman year of high school. Marched down Main Street USA. Never forget it.I did that in 1993, lol. We did See World also.
I may give it a shot...care to compare notes? The 2018 Disney Parks Moms Panel search is right around the corner. Applications open September 6, due by September 13.
Officially, I'm waffling on applying again this year, but I think that's to manage my own expectations. I enjoyed going through the process last year and I have a qualifying trip to apply for a DLR spot.
10 days until F&W starts and you go now? Bad beat.It is hot here. Very, very hot.
I might actually lose weight this trip.
Might.
Seriously I give that North Korean astronaut a lot of props for getting to the sun like he did. Probably had some solid protein packs with him.
Work school demands.... some of the kiosks are up though. Maybe 4ish....10 days until F&W starts and you go now? Bad beat.
26 days until we leave - we got the gift card deal at Caribbean Beach ($1200 in gift cards!) - I plan to sample one of everything at every booth.Work school demands.... some of the kiosks are up though. Maybe 4ish....
Sure. I'll dig up last year's questions and see if I save my answers to them.I may give it a shot...care to compare notes?
I made it pretty far through The DisUnplugged travel agent search, fell just short.
IDK if my writing chops are up to it though.
You going for Fall Break at the end of September? We'll be there then...26 days until we leave - we got the gift card deal at Caribbean Beach ($1200 in gift cards!) - I plan to sample one of everything at every booth.
Not too late but should book soon. Mid-march is high season so rooms do fill up.My parents are planning a return trip in March (preferably arrive on the 16th and leave on the 23rd) for their 40th wedding anniversary. They would like to stay on Disney property for this. We've been down there many times, but have never stayed on Disney property. Any tips on when to book this? Too late already? Any deals they need to take advantage of?
Sept. 16-24 - it is our Fall Break - same for you? I'll buy you all the beers you can drink at F&W if we meet up.You going for Fall Break at the end of September? We'll be there then...

was the little general standing at attention as well? Was chosen for the special assignment of protecting Princess Belle during her story time. Stood strong as a knight for her throughout the show.
Upon ending and our chance to pose for a picture she took my arm in a way that said, you are the finest knight I've ever had too bad your wife is right there.
And I took her arm in a way that said, I know.
I think. I might be projecting a little. Don't care. Worth it.
