How do you know they're going to need a 2-pt conversion?

Yeah you're right and that's why I was sort of on the fence.  There was still a lot of time left but they're going against the best QB in football.

At some point they have to make the 2 point conversion.  Wouldn't it be good to have the knowledge that you need 2 scores sooner than later?   . This exact scenario has been a big debate on FBGs and I can understand both point of views.

It's a 1 score game right now.  They miss the PAT or the 2pt its a 2 score game. They feel the odds of making the PAT are higher than the 2pter.  

Did you read what I posted?   In my opinion they would need a 2 point conversion at some point in this quarter.  Why not go for it sooner?  If you miss at least you have the knowledge that you're down 2 scores.  If you wait to go for 2 and miss it may be too late

See I never get this argument.  Miss the 2 pointer now so you can need an extra possession later.  If you know you need a 2 pointer to tie at the end, then you've done all you can. If you're down 9 and only have time to score a TD, what then?

See I never get this argument.  Miss the 2 pointer now so you can need an extra possession later.  If you know you need a 2 pointer to tie at the end, then you've done all you can. If your down 9 and only have time to score a TD, what then?

If you're down 2 scores with 9 minutes left it changes your strategy and probably leaves you enough time to win.  If you're down one score (because of a failed 2 pt conversion late), you may not have enough time to do anything.
