anyways this should be moved to the mvp thread. Ryan's fantastic accolades and great season shouldn't be discussed in this game thread.Ryan didn't outplay Rodgers enough imo but I agree Ryan is a big favorite to win it.

The offense could beat GB but Ryan will just be the same average cog in that offense he's been all year.![]()
You have to be the most impartial, biased, closed minded poster on the entire board. In multiple threads. I think you'd rather lose a limb than be wrong.
Shanahan isn't throwing the ball. Just wait till MATT RYAN beats you next week and you curl up in a ball and start yelling that it had nothing to do with Ryan![]()
Gotta agree with this![]()

Actually, they had an article in the GB paper on Friday or Saturday talking about why the Hail Mary plays have worked so well. The receivers explained that part of it is the arc Rodgers puts on the ball, because it minimizes the chance that a DB can tip or randomly block the ball. It just drops almost straight down out of the sky.i am enjoying the dialouge here, but want to throw a quick idea in, don't count those Hail Mary's by Rodgers as superb plays. I think more of that goes on the WRs and their ability to sneak in those little pushes, all Rodgers does is throw it up
granted half of the QBs in the league probably can't throw a pass like that for 40-50 yards)
If that's what the winner gets, I'd hate to think what the Toilet Bowl winner gets.In for @Doctor DetroitLeague. I'll fly the winner to Milwaukee for a special fattie chasing day of drinking with me
I think we found another potential owner in DD's no excuses FF league.![]()

Meet n Greet with Matt Ryan, duhIf that's what the winner gets, I'd hate to think what the Toilet Bowl winner gets.

The PI on Dez extended the drive. That was a bogus PI call. Without it, the game never evens up.On a meaningless play. There are missed calls of the same variety on both sides. The game changing plays were the ones I mentioned.

What? It was clear it was PI.The PI on Dez extended the drive. That was a bogus PI call. Without it, the game never evens up.
No. Gunter turned for the ball. He has just as much right to the ball as Dez.What? It was clear it was PI.
The announcers said it was a good call and my guess is most Packer fans would agree. Gunter ran through Dez. It was clearly PI.No. Gunter turned for the ball. He has just as much right to the ball as Dez.
You know what else is PI? YOUR FACE!The announcers said it was a good call and my guess is most Packer fans would agree. Gunter ran through Dez. It was clearly PI.

The link seems to be broken. The film study behind Micah Hyde's big pick
Turns out that Dallas ran the same exact play in Week 6 as the one Micah Hyde intercepted Prescott on. Same formation. Same motion. Even more impressive of Hyde.
Per usual, DW puts it as eloquently as anyone. One of these day's I'll have a business trip out your way and we'll have a beer or 6If Jared Cook had Whitten's hands he would be something. That said, clutch catch on that final catch and great footwork.
Very few could make that final throw, rolling to their left.
Dallas may have pulled off that rare feat of moving from one good Q.B. to another, potentially even a great one. Impressive game for a rookie regardless of G.B. playing lots of guys from their practice squad at the beginning of the season. He did well.
I'm hoping Perry gets the cast off, Burnett is ready, Rollins is back, Tretter is available, and that Adams ankle does not have any damage as sometimes those things are worse than thought after the adrenaline wears off and swelling sets in.. Hoping Bulaga is fine and that Jordy can contribute.
I apologize to the world on the insufferable fans of the Packers, most are not that way, but it is difficult to know that when the insufferable are so prolific.
As for those condemning McCarthy's calls when great individual play splits the line and defenders get into the backfield unabated, that is not a bad call, it's a bad play by a player. I note his halftime adjustments lead to a T.D. drive out of the gate.
Dallas seems well positioned for several years, though things sometimes change quickly with injuries and suspensions. Packer fans know what it is to lose players to injury one was counting on for years of production. Still, as of today, disappointment of the moment aside, Cowboy fans seem to have every reason to see a bright future.aside,
You don't get to hit the wr then look for the ball.No. He played the ####### ball. Which he has the right to do.
To be fair I don't think I ever said they were gonna win it but I liked their chances. My boy Dak went toe-to-toe with A-A-Ron Rod-Gers and almost pulled it off.
As clearly as when Davante Adams had his jersey pulled over his shoulder pad.The announcers said it was a good call and my guess is most Packer fans would agree. Gunter ran through Dez. It was clearly PI.
Dak played great. No doubt. But then again, the Packers defensive corners are abysmal. I'm surprised they didn't attack Randall more. I would have. He's money in the back to throw against. To be fair I don't think I ever said they were gonna win it but I liked their chances. Like I said earlier, Micah is the smartest player on the Packers D. He's got the wits of and Earl Thomas but is somewhat limited athletically. Thanks for the link. The film study behind Micah Hyde's big pick

Oh come on, all you heard all week was Dak and Zeke and the oline. Are you kidding me? A Packer fan complaining that the announcers don't talk enough about Aaron Rodgers? Now I've heard it all.
You should have stopped there.I know only the losers talk about the officiating. This game was called wildly uneven in the first half. The unsportsmanlike call and Witten getting mugged on the goal line. There were no "make up" calls in the game. For a game that came down to the final play, it shouldn't have. The ref's called a terrible game. Let's give Vegas a team. ..... it's not a conspiracy, it's the state of the league.
I cant see a QB playing as well as Rodgers being apart of getting "torched". Yes, the GB D looked awful in just about every way but when you have a QB who can match anybody on the other side of the ball it adds a different type of pressure to the opposing offenseP.S. I think Atlanta torches them. This game took a lot out of them. Emotionally I think they're spent.
Dak played well but it has to be taken into context. The GB D is suffering bad and it seemed like every WR, even multiple ones on some replays were all wide open. Im interested to see how he performs next season.Dak played great. No doubt. But then again, the Packers defensive corners are abysmal. I'm surprised they didn't attack Randall more. I would have. I'd be honored to pay.Per usual, DW puts it as eloquently as anyone. One of these day's I'll have a business trip out your way and we'll have a beer or 6
You simply can't wrap your head around the thought that Dak is a good QB.I cant see a QB playing as well as Rodgers being apart of getting "torched". If this were the regular season I'd agree with you, but playoffs is a completely different animal. Teams coming off emotional wins like this typically have a let down during the regular season, but I think the opposite is true for the playoffs. I'd rather have tough games like this in the playoffs where teams have to dig deep than be in Atlanta/NE's shoes where they were in a different league than their opponents.P.S. I think Atlanta torches them. This game took a lot out of them. Emotionally I think they're spent.
I was on the Dak hate train before this game. I looked at him as riding Elliot's coat tails. I actually think it is somewhat the opposite. I have much respect for Dak. I don't know how anyone can look at that game and say Dak is not a good QB... what else does he need to prove, as a rookie especially!? Anyone who can't give Dak respect are either NFC East rival fans, or fans who are butt hurt and bitter over the Cowboys "dynasty" from the 90s and can't stand the idea of the Cowboys having the makings of a dynasty now.You simply can't wrap your head around the thought that Dak is a good QB.
Take off the Eagles glasses.
Good points. It does add a different type of pressure when you know your D can't hold anyone. Both Quarterbacks will have that pressure this weekend. Rodgers has had it for 2 straight months.I cant see a QB playing as well as Rodgers being apart of getting "torched". While I think the contact ends up being called...he was looking for the ball well before the contact. You don't get to hit the wr then look for the ball.
