You're nuts! Did you not watch the game? Did you not watch the Packers score 6 straight times? Did you not watch the Packers take over and outscore Seattle 42-6 after the Hawks went up 14-0? Damn :goodposting:

Next year we need CB's, O linemen and maybe safeties.
I think Seahawk fans would be happy with 7 O linemen drafted. All year it just seemed like ouch.I'd be curious if someone could ask someone in the Hawks organization what they'd give up to get Hutch back. I'd bet it's some enormous amount. The DBs poor play can be minimized with pressure and they seem to have little trouble getting after the QB when that's the gameplan.

I don't believe the Pack will be drafting a RB like some have suggested. They're in great shape with Grant/Jackson/Wynn, IMO.
They will definitely draft an RB - just maybe not with their 1st or 2nd round pick.
Why?Got me confused here manWynn Jackson Morrency and Grant sure seems like enough to me. If ya add to that, that young RBs often get better with experience....I don't see it Marc, what's your thinking here?

Wynn is not a lock to even make the roster next year.

I would like to know why the Pack traded for Grant.

There an article out there you guys have come across?

I mean there's no way he looked impressive on IR or on the PS so which scout or "executive" recognized his ability and when?

OK but that would still leave 3

Hester = a FB in the NFL. A pass-catching, lead blocking FB. That is exactly what the Pack currently needs to make a pedestrian Grant/Jackson backfield into a top-notch running game.

what's Grant gotta do to make you think he's not part of a pedestrian backfield?

Run away from tacklers behind him - he does not have breakaway speed.
You may want to check on the number of 20+ yard carries Grant had this season.

I'm looking for Farve to have trouble keeping his stool in as he keeps seeing Patrick Kerney in his face play after play. I also look for the old geezer to set yet ANOTHER interception record as Trufant and Jennings roam around out there, jogging to keep up with that pathetic excuse for a receiving corps. I also look for Lofa Tatupu to be crowned Lord Emperor of the Multiverse upon completion of the game.
Was Kerney Inactive yesterday? :pickle:

:pickle: You don't know much about Korey Hall and John Kuhn.
You mean converted LB Hall and third year player on his second team Kuhn?Hester would displace both since he brings offensive weapons those two lack. Doesn't matter what I think, though. The team is in the NFC Champ game with its current lineup.

And yet he averaged over 5 yards per carry and was the 2nd leading rusher in NFL in the second half of the season.

The Packers don't need an offensive weapon at FB. They need a solid blocker like they had with William Henderson. Korey Hall and John Kuhn have done a great job at FB this season taking over for Henderson. Hall made a smooth transition to FB and the coaching staff is extremely pleased with him. You may want to do some research on how Hall and Kuhn have played this year.

Didn't say they were bad - only that the position can be improved. And the team needs another receiver out of the backfield. Not sure why y'all are objecting to a bargain like Hester, but whatever. I believe he fits what they do perfectly. Not saying he's gonna replace Grant - he'll IMPROVE Grant. The team is relatively complete, but a versatile multi-dimensional player who can replace two or three spots is always what a S.B. team is looking for.

Wrong. It is more important to have a FB that excels at blocking rather than a FB that is an offensive threat. That is basic football knowledge.

No kidding. Furley's comment may be the "wrongest" thing I've read on this board.

Just got back from Lambeau. I've been to a lot of Packer games, and that was easily the most fun I've ever had. Also easily the LOUDEST I've been heard it at Lambeau.
OH yeah I couldn't agree more. I've been to around 15 Packer games and that was my 4th playoff game and EASILY the loudest and most fun I've had at any of them, and that includes the Harris return TD against Seattle the last time. The scene was like a fairytale with the snow. What a memory this is going to be..

It is called Desperation. The packers had no, repeat no running game.Wynn is what we thought he was (7th round pick) and Brandon Jackson was drafted several rounds two high for a guy who cant pick up the blitz nor catch the ball well.

There's not that many players on the Seahawks I wouldn't trade for Hutch. I don't see the hawks going CB after drafting Jennings and Wilson with their top picks the last two years - especially if we re-sign Trufant, which I'd like to see. At Safety, Grant/Russell have played very well at this year after getting signed as free agents. I'd like to see us draft offensive linemen, as well as a RB. I don't think Alexander's around next year, they're at minimum going to ask him to take a big pay cut, and he likely won't do that if I had to guess. Hopefully (broken record here) Tubbs will be healthy next year. Mebane played great, but having a big-bodied run stopper in there would really help things. At all skill positions except RB, I think we look great next year. Great WR corps, Hass isn't going anywhere, Trufant/Jennings are solid, and Tatupu/Peterson/Hill are sick. I vote we sell out for the trenches, and add a RB along the way.

some guy next to me kept yelling about Kerney being invisible yesterday :lmao: the ENTIRE game. every 3-4 minutes.. it was killing me. Seattle fans were not amused but he was too drunk to care.

:lmao:Hall was periodically unseated by Kuhn because he was missing assignments and not blocking effectively. Kuhn was a bit better but neither is all that great. William Henderson, while a fine blocker, was also a very nice and sneaky option in the passing game out of the backfield.Henderson had 320 catches on his career. 1.7 per game played.Kuhn and Hall combined for 9 catches this season. :lmao:

It was year one in the offense for these two guys lets see what they can do nexy year. Bill Henderson was not a weapon out of the backfield he was a check down.Hester would sure need to work on his blocking.

Henderson's first year as a starter he had 27 catches. a checkdown is still part of the offense. the QB needs to check down a few times a game. it's important. i'm willing to see what they can do but to say they don't need to do anything more than block is a little naive, imo.
Hester would sure need to work on his defense.

Hackett's a UFA and Branch's knee injury is thought to be serious. Without those two the WR corps is far from great. We need HAckett, a TE and a OG or two along with a new RB. Locklear is another UFA. I'm thinking they will offer Trufant a good contract but if he doesn't like it they'll franchise him. Don't want to let him walk and franchise Brown again, though I want him back as well.
