***Divisonal Round Playoff Game Thread*** (1 Viewer)

Not sure if Giant fans remember, about my friend who WILL be at the Dallas game?

Every game my friend has gone to the Giants have won 12-0, now.

He will be wearing jersey #12, so stats for Mr.Smith 4 rec. 65 yards and a score.

Giants-34 Dallas-27.

There is a lot of love in the media and fans for the Giants so lets see what they can do today when it comes to the Cowboys.

I will likely not be posting in the thread much as I am likely to go through alternating bouts of exuberate hysteria and maniacal hatred for my beloved Giants.

My God be with us. And also with them. Amen.

Go. Big. Blue.

And as a nice aside, if Eli has a good game and wins, I prety much lock up a few hundred bucks in my playoff league. So, you know, nothing personal on the line here or anything. Eli. For me buddy. Ok. Good. Break!

Going into this day, the team with the better record is 6-0.

The one game unfortunately for me where I think the underdog has a very very good shot at winning the game is here, the New York Giants.

When handicapping this game, you look at two teams playing on opposite spectrums. You have the Giants who have played their best football the past two games and then you have the Cowboys who have played their worst football of the year the past month.

I don't know how Dallas is just going to turn on the switch to full speed and all of a sudden start playing like they did mid way thru the season, but as a fan I hope they can.

There are a lot of questions that Dallas has to answer, primarily at the WR position. They have Terry Glenn and Terell Owens who will be starting today. Both of them could make an impact or they could get reinjured and leave the game.

Tony Romo hasn't played well since the first half of the Green Bay game. Was it his thumb, the lack of WR help......them calling vanilla plays because everything was already clinched? Who knows but the Giants have 2 corner backs that will not be playing today and the weather is going to be in the 50's and light wind.

There is NO reason, NO reason that Romo doesn't have 300 yards and at least 2 TD's in this game. The Giants secondary is not that good today and if Dallas is for real, they should do well in throwing the ball today.

Eli Manning is playing as confident as he has all season. As any QB, you have to pressure him and I think it's important to get to him early. Put doubt inside his head. Remember, they've lost to Dallas twice this year and if they can get to him early, thoughts like maybe Dallas is just better than us this year.

I like trying to see things half full as a fan but something tells me that this Giants game is going to be tough or even possibly worse. As I said before the Tampa game, I was rooting for Tampa as a Dallas fan because I felt the Giants present more of a problem for Dallas. They know Dallas very well and do not fear them.

Dallas will have to play back to form to beat this Giants team or it will be a LONG off season for Tony Romo.

I'm going to be at a bar during the game, so I'd appreciate it if someone could randomly copy and paste the following phrases into the thread during the game. That way, it will be like I'm here for it.

J-WIT!!!!!!FASANO = SPEEDRoy Williams is the suck.P-CRA!!!That's why they split carries between two backs.Jessica could be in for a long and happy night.A-HEN DOMINANCE!!

I had a dream two nights ago. Dallas wins 27-26 with the Cowboys hitting a game winning field goal in the last minute of the game.

God I hope I'm not prophetic. Let go GIANTS!!!!

So even for the Giants fans, its all about the Cowboys. And don't worry, SHE won't be there today.

This game boils down to two things- (1) Cowboys effectiveness against the NY pass rush and (2) TO's health. Hoping TO isn't just a decoy today.

Do we have enough Green Bay homers in here?

Just make sure Farve has his bags packed and ticket to Dallas.

Giants are gonna take this. One Manning loses the other wins, the universe will balance itself.
Can we see some real support. Where are the Giants fans, tired of these hick, deathly afraid Packers fans.GO BIG D!!! :goodposting:

This is going to be a tough one to watch. I absolutely hate both of these teams, but I hate the Cowboys just a little bit more, so I guess it's 'Go G-Men!' :goodposting:

As a lifelong Cowboys fan living in NJ, work will be a whole lot nicer tomorrow if Dallas manages to pull-off the sweep here. Can't tell you how many looks I got when I went to the supermarket today with my 6 and 3 yr old, all of us donned with Cowboys shirts.

Bring it ON.

God Bless you Sir, that is just good parenting.

I hate Dallas. I'd love to see them get spanked at home. But I don't think either team can beat GB the way they played yesterday. Go Giants. That too almost makes me feel dirty saying.

I feel ya, as a huge Packer fan living in NY with the possibility of having to see a Giants-Packers NFC Championship game and having to face the jeers at work.

did I hear correctly when the announcers said that this is the FIRST post-season

meeting between the Giants and Cowboys? ever? That just can't be, can it?
