DJ Hackett (1 Viewer)

Per Rotoworld and the Seattle times, DJ Hackett could miss some significant time due to what might be a high ankle sprain. Thoughts?

Man, I have this guy in almost every league. Seemed like he was going to play a big role, too. =(

I think their other WRs after Branch are going to be a mess for the time being...hell, MARCUS POLLARD was their leading receiver yesterday! People are going to fall for Burleson, but I won't be among them.

Pollard and the RBs were the leading receivers because of the Tampa 2 D and Ronde Barber stuck on Branch like glue. The D plan was to take away the WRs so Hass took what was available. That's not going to happen every week. Branch was targeted twice in the endzone but was well covered. Hackett had 2 targets, one was tipped by a great play for what would've been a 15-20 catch and possible good YAC, he caught the other pass and had his ankle rolled up. Burleson showed why he was in the running for the startin job, and also why he didn't get it. A drop and a fumble.Another reason for the low WR numbers is that with an injury to Ben Obumanu they chose not to activate rookie WR Taylor and had only 4 WRs dressed. Without Hackett they couldn't go into 4WR sets and get good mismatches like they got on the Morris TD. If Hackett is out, which I haven't seen on any Seahawks news or MB site, then Obumanu might be the sneaky pickup. He actually looked better than Burleson in preseason and will likely draw the least talented coverage.

I agree with about everything you said except this. Burleson was spectacular in preseason, Obomanu was great too but keep in mind he was playing vs mostly backups everytime he was in. That said, I really like Obomanu and think he could start for some teams.
