Very curious as to what the thoughts out there are on what might happen to DJ?

A lot of very weird stuff happening...

1. Current 6 game suspension ruling upheld by court but appeal in progress. When will we know?

2. What happened with those 2 DUIs? Supposedly put him on the "test" list that led to the above PEDs suspension. Any more NFL discipline in store?

3. Thirty years old this year and two years left on the contract at ~$5M+ per year. Do you think DEN will simply cut him? If yes, can he catch on elsewhere?

4. DJ tweets playbook info and says he's "learning a new position". What does that mean?

5. I've heard conflicting reports that he's becoming a liability in coverage. That wouldn't bode well.

Looks like he may be done for season. Apparently during his hearing to get the 6 game suspension dismissed, it was mentioned he failed a second drug test and submitted fake urine in an attempt to pass the test. Sounds like he may be done for the year and I'm sure done playing for the Broncos.Link/

What does this do for Woodyard's fantasy value? He is now a 3 down player this year, right? Does this give him a shot at legitimate dynasty value? He has always produced when called upon, and if he does so for a full season the team won't be able to overlook him anymore. Would love to hear Jene's take on this topic.

“The evidence is clear,” hearing officer Harold Henderson wrote in the February letter, “that Williams was involved in three separate incidents of attempted substitution of a specimen.”

My assumption was that the 6 game suspension covered all 3 failed drug tests (August, September, and November of 2011), since the NFL handed it down in March 2012. If I understand correctly, the 2 DUIs preceded all the failed drug tests, and those actually got him on the intervention random testing stage to begin with....Then again, from the above article, it appears that teammate Ryan McBean was also in the same random testing stage and had gotten a 6 game suspension (later reduced to 3 games) for a single August test which was handled similarly to Williams'. So, maybe there's more suspension time coming for Williams.

Denver doesnt have enough LBs to cut dj this year. However, this will be his last year in denver. Woodyard gets a bump for the first 6 games and will get a decen amount of tackles- but he isnt a pass rusher and won't score as well as dj did (and DJ is a lb #3 at best as an OLB)

Ive been trying to trade DJ for months and his value is squat. In a dynasty league- try to stash him on the off chance he plays middle lb somewhere next year. In a redraft, pick him up as a FA week 4 or 5 and use him like a #3 lb.
