Do I approach our commissioner? (1 Viewer)

There is an owner in our league who has obviously given up. He has not logged on in 3 weeks. I didnt notice until after week 5 in which his lineup included players on a bye when he had other legit options. I then brought it up to the commissioner, and he set that owners lineup for him for week 6. Then, in week 7, the commissioner is the one who plays the team in question. This time no lineup changes are made and the team in question includes 5 players on a bye. Obviously the commisioner wins that game. Now this week, I play the team in question, and the commissioner sets his lineup again.

Should I say anything, or just let it go?

F that. Go to his house and punch him in the face!

Hell yes you say something, that's total BS. You should probably punch him and his whole family in the face just for good measure.

Would a reasonable lineup change have beaten the commish last week? What about a specific lineup change (i.e. optimized submission).

If neither then I would say something but not make a huge deal about it. If yes to either of the above then I would push the issue.

Muy malo....either run the team or not. That is absolutely awful by your commish - I don't care if he'd have won or not.

Have the league pick a site (ESPN, FBGs, whatever), and start the highest ranked player if you can't find a replacement owner.

Have seen this several times and it is wrong. I think the only fair thing to do is to give every team a win the week they play the headless horsemen team. Make it retro if possible.

I assume this is a competitive leagueWhen a user quits, it should be the commissioner's responsibility to find a new owner. Also, it's cheating what he did. You should leave the league

So if he cheated and it didn't have an effect, it's okay? Oh yeah, someone robbed my house and I found the items on craigslist, but since I bought them back it's fine.

I honestly wouldn't play in that league again. If the commish is a friend, you probably mention something to him. If the commish isn't your friend, you post his actions on a message board to the entire league.

On another note, I hate when people don't check their lineups. Completely ruins the integrity of the league especially when you're playing for decent money.

Totally disagree with this. Commish cheated and this needs to be brought out. Just because he may have won anyway doesn't mean he didn't do anything completely wrong. I would suggest the commish should forfeit the game. And I sure as heck would not return next season.

I never said not to address it.Hes likely a scumbag and his argument will be that it didn't matter. That was the point of my comment. Just depends on how far you want to push it depending on how much money is on the line.

Hey guys, should I take a dump? I'm feeling a little pressure and the games are about to start. Should I go ahead and go #2?

Worst advice ever.

Unless that owner asked the commish to set his lineup for him....I would want to see proof of that though. Otherwise, BS!
