These have been popular with the kids for a while, but now I'm seeing adults with them. Sup wit dat?

Not me but my son just got one as a birthday party favor on Saturday.

had to confiscate two out of the dugout for the little league team I coach the other week.

fun diversion but can see this as a nightmare for teachers.

someone is making a killing selling these.

Kids have been bugging the #### outta me for a week to get these. They get out of school Friday. I'm trying to hold off, because they will forget and hopefully another fad shows up and distracts them next school year.

never heard of these until the email last week from a teacher saying these are not allowed at school (no my daughter does not have one).

Funny thing is I found out the PTA is selling them despite being considered toys and not allowed at school....

both kids have one. they got a kick out of them for a few hours one day. now they're... i have no idea where. on the floor? in a drawer?

What's the harm? They aren't loud, aren't expensive, dont come with a thousand parts and entertain the kids for a while.

Guy at work has one.  But he also picks his nose non-stop, has gems, Dungeons and Dragon dice, and some little figurine thing with a sword on his desk.  Also has a My Little Pony lunch box.  So the fidget spinner is probably the most normal thing this guy has.

I just bought a dozen of them with the intent of using them in a physics investigation or two.  My son took apart a couple of old hard drives and made one (it's not very good, but he had fun doing it.)

you hater

I have a cube with little mechanims on each sided (switch, bittons, dials, clickers, etc)

I have a bad habit of constantly tossing my remote control around when I'm watching TV. I don't even realize I'm doing it. This leads to me breaking remotes on the rate occasion that I drop them on a hard surface. This helps. Wouldn't bring it to work though since it makes a little noise

Kids each have one. One of them left theirs in my car and I spin it when I'm in traffic. It's been in my car for a week, so maybe I do have one.

my daughter just got one of these.  she co-wrote an article in the school paper about fidget toys a few weeks ago.  supposedly some claim that they are useful for kids with attention issues, but I just saw an npr story that indicated that the fidget spinners are not helpful at all.

This is called a fidget cube.  My son has one of these as well as 2 spinners (one semi-broken).  My daughter (7) is on her second spinner.

Some teachers hate them and some don't mind.  My wife is a teacher and just considers them a toy.  If the kids can play with a toy, they are allowed, if it is a "no-toy" time they can't have them out.  The librarian at the school won't allow them in the library at all.  I was entertained for about 30 seconds.  They'll fade sometime soon.

My daughters boyfriend around where I live. He ran into a guy and cut a deal with him, buys in large quantity (thousands at a time) and sells them at about a 650% markup. It's a fad but he's the only guy in town that has them in quantity, he's crushing it right now.

Next big thing is spinners with a bluetooth speaker in it.

My wife works at a school and is confiscating them left and right.  She wears them as a necklace as trophies, each with a tag on it with the kid's name so they can pick it up at the end of the year.

she should take photos of each students face, print them like fatheads and put them on stakes around the room
