Reading through some of the threads, the Garrard thread in particular, got me thinking about how we sometimes value our "favorite" players more than we should.
For example, Vince Young, Randle El and LT are three of my favorite players in the NFL, I actively pursued getting them on my teams, and have all 3 in one, 2 in the other (didn't get VY there). LT has worked out well, but sometimes I'm a little jaded when it comes to players I want to see succeed vs. those I haven't seen play as much, don't play on my local teams - either NFL or college; or aren't what I consider positive influences. OTOH, I pretty much avoided Lions for awhile, thinking I rated them too highly due to my bias.
Do others also feel this way?
Does that indicate that lesser known quantities are better values? For example, Randy Moss and TO - not too many people cheer for these guys unless they have them on their FF team or are Cowboys or Patriots fans. Both were great values this year. Same can be said for many players, it seems.
Thoughts? (perhaps should wait until the off-season? I can always bump it later)
