First, let me say that I think FBG's has the best FF website in existence. I love that the dynasty material has been increasing over the years and that the rankings are up to date. The thing that I don't understand is why the dynasty rankings are for non-PPR leagues. Maybe I'm off base - but I play in 1/2 dozen dynasty leagues and usually joining a non-PPR dynasty league isn't even an option. I would guess than less than 10% of dynasty leagues that FBG subscribers are in use non-PPR scoring formats. I would love to see the FBG dynasty staff incorporate PPR scoring in their rankings at least for WR's & TE's like they have done with their redraft rankings. Dynasty, is the league format where I think you hardly ever see non-PPR leagues - so if you are going to have rankings for dynasty - if you are only offering one option - it should be PPR scoring rankings. To use non-PPR scoring rankings vs. PPR scoring seems very outdated. I would love to hear from the dynasty staff as well as see how many dynasty owners are in PPR leagues vs. non-PPR. Please vote in the poll. In redraft leagues - there are a ton of non-PPR leagues out there - but for Dynasty I just don't see it.

Sorry if this topic has been asked before in the Shark Pool.

PPR is taking over as the preferred scoring system, if it hasn't already. FBG is a behind in this regard, as it tends to be stuck catering to the older leagues, and players. They haven't been proactive enough in their PPR but are slowly making the changes.

while I understand the sentiment, I'm not sure this poll will give us a great answer. I'm in multiple dynasty leagues. Some use PPR and some do not.

While maybe not the total answer, one issue could be what is the standard for PPR:

1) 1 point per all positions?

2) .5 point per all ?

3) a variety of mixed systems?

I'm a little surprised - I guess I underestimated the number of people that prefer non-PPR leagues. There are some good points made in terms of increasing the value of WR's. I have found in non-PPR leagues - the values of the elite RB's are so inflated that by adding the PPR or 1 PPR vs. .5 PPR for RB's evens out the value of the positions. Many leagues I'm in award 1.5 PPR for TE's vs. 1 for WR's and no or .5 PPR for RB's....which evens out the positions even more.

In terms of the poll question - I was interested in knowing how many people are in more non-PPR dynasty leagues vs PPR leagues. I guess I didn't formulate the best poll.

Maybe a better question would be - how many of you play in non-PPR dynasty leagues only. The numbers probably would have been more heavily in favor of PPR leagues. I'm just hoping that FBG's add PPR scoring rankings for dynasty like they have for redraft.

This does not quite answer your question, but I'd join a dynasty if I could find a non-PPR one. My keeper league is non-ppr. PPR is bush league, especially for dynasty since wide receivers tend to last longer. Due to longevity, WR is already valued high, so adding PPR is even sillier. So maybe that's why their rankings are non-PPR - principle.
Not to advertise, but there are a BUNCH of non-PPR leagues at http://www.glffl.net/That is where I started my first 3 dynasty leagues, until I found some better fits for myself - I am now down to only 1 left on that site.

Most are non-PPR or VERY minimal PPR (1 per 5 receptions), and no IDP.

I added an additional poll question. Please vote.

I dont mind PPR, but i dont think it is something that will eventually be the norm, i just think its more of a "phase". Non-PPR leagues willl always be the majority, IMO.

Aaron,Do you know if FBG's plans to add a PPR option to their dynasty rankings like they have in their redraft leagues in the future?

it's hard to keep all these different versions of rankings constantly updated.perhaps a compromise to consider would be to move to a .5PPR as the default scoring for expert rankings b/c I do think many many leagues use some form of PPR these days.

Actually, this doesn't help clarify anything. If I play in 4 leagues, 1 of which is PPR, then 75% of the leagues I play in are non-PPR, but 100% of my vote to the second question is going to be yes.A better question would have been "Are the majority of the dynatsy leagues you play in PPR or non-PPR?"And with all of the PPR score variations (some award 1 pt PP for all, some less for RBs, some none for RBs, etc.) - even that wont be that miningful. That's why non-PPR is "standard scoring" - even within PPR formats there really is no "standard".

Many of us really don't like PPR for any kind of league - redraft, dynasty, keeper etc.

And for the record, it's NOT just the dinosaurs hanging on to the "good old days". There are a lot of folks more than willing to make positional scoring changes (relative to the "standard") that don't like that particular scoring system.

When you combine those folks (a sometimes silent minority), with the hefty population of folks who are in the "leave well enough alone" camp, you end up with results you are seeing - more NON PPR than PPR.

For some history check this out:

PPR thread (one of many)

of my 6 dynasty leagues, 2 non ppr & 4 ppr. Of the 4 ppr, here is the scoring (RB, WR, TE):

1. 0, .5, .5

2. 1, 1, 1

3. 0.5, 1, 1.5

4. 1, 1, 1.5

I play in 5 different dynasty leagues - all have some variation of PPR. I'm in 1 redraft league - which is non-PPR.

PPR Scoring for the 5 leagues I"m in:

RB/WR/TE

0/1/2

1/1/1

.5/1/1

.5/1/1.5

.5/1/1

6 dynasty all PPR

3 redraft, 2 are PPR, the non-PPR is Just for fun (ie my only NON-PPR league, doesn't count)
