Does finishing strong equate to success (1 Viewer)

I've noticed a couple of players that finished 2009 year with strong numbers, but yet, they seem to still be undervalued this year. I know different situations will yield different outcomes, but there has been alot of discussions on the board about guys like Harrison and Aromashadu who finished strong last season, yet this year, not expecting great things. Another guy is a head scratcher for me is Garcon, who I have as a top 20 WR, but FBG has him almost close to 40th according to my leagues scoring rules. This pertains to IDPs as well.

Rather than diving into the specifics for each player, which there are several threads going, I was wondering if anyone had evidence historically how guys that finished strong in previous seasons, how they performed the following year..

This has been studied. The answer is no. Obviously sometimes the answer is yes. But just as often the answer is no. It is not a reliable predictor of next season success.
