Just seeing if any of you thought Fred Davis had any dynasty worth right now or not? He is a FA in another year. So 2012.

I had Fred in a dynasty league, he is a good player; but he is replaceable, through the waiver wire, during the season. I wouldn't sweat losing him.

You really didn't give us much information to go on, like roster size, starting requirements, league scoring, etc.
But to answer your question, yes, he does have value. IMO, I think Davis is a top 8 talent at the TE position. Unfortunately, he's playing behind one of the best TE's in football.

I think that may have been the case a year ago. However, the rookie class of 2010 may have changed that. By adding Gresham, Gronk, Hernandez, Graham, Dickson, Moeaki and Quarless to the talent pool, I'm not so sure anymore.

As mentioned, Davis becomes a FA in 2012 so he has another year behind Cooley. His nice stretch in 2009 was with a different QB and coaching staff and was made possible by Cooley's injury. Cooley is signed through 2013 so if Davis is to have value in 2011 it will be via trade or injury to Cooley, and I wouldn't assume either. There are a lot of good TEs in the league, more coming in the draft every year, and I wouldn't see the point in holding onto Davis right now.
