Does Lamont Jordan have any value? (1 Viewer)

Of course, three years is a long time but does anyone think his situation the last 2 years impacted his performance?

Given the chance, can he provide any value or is Sammy Morris and the return of Kevin Faulk dictate that his worth is meaningless?

I'd have to agree, no. Even with Faulk suspended for the game he saw virtually nothing and Faulk will be back next week. I'm dumping him for Morris or P. Thomas

Every player has value, some just a lot less than others.

I'm holding, but I do have a lot of roster room. If your roster is short, go ahead and cut bait. Maybe wait a week just to see what NE looks like without Brady (and with Faulk back). You have to think they're going to be be running the ball a lot more now. It looks like he's behind Maroney and Morris for now. But those guys don't exactly have a spotless injury record, so he could still become a big part of the RB committee.

Two years ago was a lost year for all Raiders, but Jordan was doing well last year before his back flared up. He looked healthy to me in the preseason, so I'm willing to wait and see if he gets a shot.

There are just too many RBs there. I drafted him late but know I'll never start him. I have a claim in to drop him for Derrick Ward -- better to have a potentially good handcuff on the bench.

he does have some value, just less immediate value than i thought he might have before.

before this weekend, i thought lamont might be a player who'd see consistent work even if there were no injuries. basically, i thought he'd be what it appears sammy morris actually is.

now, he appears to be one of many players who need an injury to become relevant. he needs one injury to become relevant. 2 injuries and he's a star.

in deep leagues, i'll hold him unless other options are better. he needs maroney and morris to get hurt, but that could certainly happen. even if no one gets hurt, i don't think anyone would be too surprised if belichick changed things up on us at some point.

After getting the most carries and having the best YPC in week 2 for the Pats, what value does Jordan have now? I could see him being the lead dog of a RBBC. He could be the goal line back and also get 3rd down looks with his pass catching ability out of the backfield.

I'm looking for a 3-sided coin to help me pick who gets the most carries next week, and a 4-sided coin for total yards. The only thing consistent through week 2 is that Morris got the TDs.

I'm holding my NE RBs for now...

He could be. With Maroney looking like he won't be able to play much, Jordan is suddenly very much worth a roster spot (though I have let him go). But... would you feel comfortable starting him, even as a flex? Probably not yet.
