Does Oliver take over the Woodhead role? (1 Viewer)

Not a bad outing for this kid who clearly looked better than Brown. Once Mathews returns does Oliver become the Danny Woodhead in this offence?

Responsibility wise I think he will assume the duties of Woodhead as the "receiving" back. However if he can manage to show more on the ground than Donald "1.93 yds and a cloud of dust" Brown, I think he can potentially earn a sizable piece of the pie going forwards. Gonna be tough to impress the coaches going against the Jets though.

“I know we can run the football better,” McCoy said. “We will run the football better. We have to run the football better. We just have to do a better job of it on Sundays.”

One of the things McCoy could focus on is getting the ball to Branden Oliver more. The undrafted rookie free agent finished with 56 yards on 13 touches, and could be a guy who can create explosive plays if given some space by the offense line.

“He’s just going to get better with time,” McCoy said about Oliver. “And if we get him a few more creases, there’s going to be some explosive plays, because he’s a strong runner that’s always going north and south.”

Thx China glad I grabbed him off the ww for my Ingram replacement. in a 16 team league rbs are slim

Right now, he might be taking over the Donald Brown role. That guy sux and I started him last week. :bag:
There should not be something called "the Donald Brown role".
I'm gonna order that next time I go to a sushi restaurant.
Make sure you order more than one because it goes down easy.
You better get something else with that order, because each roll only comes with 2 pieces.

I tried...

but was told it was removed from the menu because they were taking a loss...

Is there a role for him a flex guy in a 14 team league, or was last week a result of playing Jax? I think the original question is a good one, is this guy going to be a consistent fantasy performer for the next few weeks anyway

I think Royal is a beneficiary of at least some of the Wodhead receptions
:goodposting: Before the game this past weekend, one of the beat writers for San Diego said "Royal figures to be big part of replacing touches lost by Woodhead."

Chargers play Jets on Sunday.....don't see a lot of yards for Oliver there with Jets defensive front.

Before you know it Mathews will be back. I'd like to think Oliver could make some noise, but the odds are against it.
