Looking for a new phone and I see people carrying around what looks like small Kindle's for phones. I prefer something small that fit's in my front pocket comfortably since there is not much spare room there. What is the upside to going bigger?

If you use a lot of technology, bigger can streamline your life. Read e-books? Do stuff on a tablet? Talk a lot? Text a lot? Music? Movies? Games? Etc? A fairly large phone with all the attendant bells and whistles can handle all that with a minimum of eyestrain and isn't too unwieldy.

The downside is if, like me, you lose each and every phone you get about eleven minutes after activation, the habit becomes costly. I now pretty much get ten dollar pay-as-you-go burners. When I inevitably lose them, I stop at Wal~Mart and pick up another. Plus, since I have a new phone number every couple weeks, nobody can figure out how to reach me, which is awesome.

I'm sorry, but how does a growed up man lose his #######' phone that much?

If I knew that, I would act to curtail the behavior.

Thus is like the person who's always late but can't imagine how they could change that behavior.

I'm almost always running late, but I have never lost a phone...

Isn't that why god created "Find My iPhone?"

Larger phone is for browsing, facebook, etc

Go:

small phone + tablet

or kill 2 birds and do:

Larger phone, no tablet

I'm almost always running late, and always lose my phone. Both of these things are probably unrelated to my predilection for starting happy hour at noon. But a few phones and a few missed appointments are a small price to pay for half off PBR from noon to six.

Also, I love retirement.

Find My iPhone. The problem is you have to turn it on before losing the iOS device. Otherwise you can find the location of your device and 'beep it' as long as it has batteries.
