Does TBS have any contingency plans? (1 Viewer)

What's TBS going to do when a games runs over it's allotted time?

They have 3 games on Wednesday that are 3 and a half hours apart (3:00, 6:30, 10:00). Are they planning on showing one game on TNT if a game runs long?

I think its Sunday, that one of the games is on TNT anyway. Not overlapping in time either, so I would assume they would start the new game on that channel and then switch over once the other was over.

Probably would be regional broadcasts... If your team is starting, they will switch to that game while the rest of the country stays with the current game...

This will definitely be a problem with AL games...

Seriously...The Yanks can't play a game in under 3 1/2 hours in the regular season, never mind the playoffs

And if they are playing the Red Sox, that will be at least 4 hours minimum...

Can someone explain how this all happened anyways? What happened to the major networks/ESPN? And who is calling these games?

TBS outbid them for the contract...They have a bunch of announcers:Tony GwynnChip CarayJoe Simpson Don Orsillo Steve StoneBob BrenlyTed RobinsonDick StocktonLast night's game was Simppson and Orsillo, and I thought they did a very good job...It was an uncluttered telecast, they didn't shtick it up...And Ernie Johnson anchoring the studio with Cal Ripken was solid as well...

After last night, I wish TBS had the rights to the World Series.

GDB that fn Fox telecast. Worst baseball evah.

Phils-Rockies are 3:00 starts both Wed & Thurs. On Thursday, when the Phils start a pitcher not named Hamels, how long do you think that game will run?

Don Orsillo is good broadcast announcer when he is not teamed up with Jerry Remy.

Looks like DirecTV is carrying the games in HD on 95 if you don't have the latest satellite with the new HD channels.

Buck + McCarver = exploding eardrums. Worst announcing tandem in the history of the world.

McCarver actually said this during last Saturday's game:"We had our friends at Stats, Inc. check and see whether more multi-run innings came with a lead off homer or a lead off walk. You would think that a lead off walk would lead to more big innings than a lead off home run. Not true. A lead off home run, this year, has lead to more multi-run innings than lead off walks. It's against conventional thinking."

what was the significance of (what appeared to be) the number "9" on that red/green logo that was super-imposed underneath 1st base runners with a lead??
