We're having quite the battle in our league regarding FA acquisitions in the playoffs. No consensus can be found. This a a 10 team league, 4 keepers.
Last season we allowed only the playoff teams to acquire FA's during the playoffs. It's a blind bid system. One owner picked up 5 kickers for the championship game to block his opponent who had a kicker that was "doubtful" going in to the championship game. IMO, that is weak sauce, but it wasn't against the rules, so we let it slide.
On top of that there was discussion about a scenario in which a player like Jerome Harrison blows up during playoff time and only playoff teams get to pick him up where a non playoff team that could use him as a keeper the following season couldn't. Though that scenario is an unlikely one, it could still happen and could be considered unfair.
With all that said, how does your league deal with playoff acquisitions? Or do you allow them at all?
