**Dolphins at Jets**(-1, 39) 4:25 (1 Viewer)

And Adams, although I roster him in dynasty, was written off way too quickly. This guy was WR14 PPR (including tackles, so it might not be perfect) even missing three games—and he was WR11 in PPG. Good stuff.
Meh. Great for fantasy but real life nothing special. Just a load of volume.

I don't know anyone who quite wrote him off, just some people, myself included, who said he was no longer elite. I veiw him as basically a good #2 possession receiver.

I anticipate the Jets will end up releasing him.
I could see Adams in Cinn if Tee Higgins leaves for more money.
I can't.
He’s going to end up somewhere decent if the Jets want to move on.

I did end up getting on the wrong side of a Adams benching in the playoffs after being on the wrong side starting him too many times. Always liked the player but this offense is impossible to trust.

He chose the Raiders and wanted to go the Jets. What makes you think he cares one bit about going somewhere decent? Money and stats is what he's chasing. His own personal greatness or excellence or whatever he calls it.

For all our talking about Weaver, letting the ghost of Aaron Rodgers score 4TDs like that isn't great. The Fins rot from the head though.

He's worth way more than a back-end round-two pick still.
He's not and no one else in the league would have paid what the Jets did for him, they were competing against themselves.

In dynasty, meno. I'm talking about what he can score for vs. what the likelihood is your pick will bust.

I am talking fantasy, man. He's not worth a second-round pick in the NFL. But a back-end two that you'll get for him in fantasy? I'm not taking that over his production.

And I don't think the Jets were competing against themselves. The Raiders seemed pretty ready to let him fester if they didn't get something reasonable for him. But yeah, I don't think we're in disagreement on too much other than I think he's better in real life than you do.

Are you sure this isn't just dislike of the player? I did not see that receiver series and I have no idea what makes Davante tick. I don't think I care for it, but he doesn't look cooked to me. Not elite in the league, but very viable for fantasy purposes next year depending on where he goes and his motivation.

Sorry for the misinterpretation.

I would generally agree with you on his fantasy worth.

No problem. I should have clarified what I meant. We often talk about a player's real and fantasy worth interchangeably, and it's probably upon the speaker to clarify before proceeding if we're talking about different valuations, which tend to happen when receivers hit about 28 or 29 or even earlier these days. It's becoming a young league.

The Jets problems are far deeper than Adams. As long as Rodgers is there, that will always be the problem.

Woody’s going to maybe set sail for Europe again, leaving his slightly even less competent brother Chris to run the show. When Chris starts reporting to Brick then you know the **** has really hit the fan in Jetsville.
