As a Jets fan, I would be happy to see Miami actually come up and make a game out of it, considering that they have been gracious enough to lose 17 out of the last 21 games. I thought rivalry was a term reserved for series where both teams won their fair share.
There we go - I knew you Jets fans were still around.
Pennington going into NY and beating the Jets for a playoff spot would make up for
that silly little streak. Dontcha think?
A term that only a Fins fan would create. Or believe.
I only have one question for you if you'd be so kind . . . On the scale of Jets disappointments how bad would losing to Pennington be on 12/28 for a playoff spot?
I'm thinking worst of all time but I anxiously await your repsonse.
No way would that come near the Denver Championship game in 1998.... Or the previously mentioned AJ Duhe game.
Jets smelled the Super Bowl, that was Parcells shot right there and the game started off so well....
IMO, Dissapointment as an NFL fan is a relative term... I can only be as dissapointed as far as I think the team can go... In 1998 The Jets could have won it all and it was all right there.
This Team???? Uggh, while I was optimistic all year and saw it as an opportunity to jell and improve as the season went on, I just don't have a lot of confidence in beating a Ravens, Denver, Steeler or Titans team (again)....
Honestly, I get the Chad thing and how it would be spun but, IMO, not making the playoffs after those Tenn and Pat wins would blow no matter who the opponent. I think Jets fans already stared reality in the face late in the 4th quarter yesterday and it wasn't pretty.
IMO, the dissapointment is more in how this team is playing, especially defensively than any rivals or opponents.
As for Jets fans being around... There's only a few of us and IMO it's a pretty good group of fans that are pretty realistic.... Maybe you're looking for Jets fans who act more like certain other fans????
