Dolphins O-line? (1 Viewer)

He looked okay. He was targeted a few times in the passing game (3 or so) but all of them were low. The O line did a Decent job, but remember they were playing the Jags who have 2 of the best DT in the game.

He had a few good runs followed by others where he was caught in the backfield.

The Dolphins starting offensive line was putrid against the Jaguars. They couldn't sustain blocks and the Jaguars front seven owned them.

Let it be said though that the Dolphins at one point had three rookies inserted into the line at center, guard and tackle and the inexperience was obvious.

The 2nd-string unit was pretty awesome and the Dolphins are blessed with a good offensive line coach in Hudson Houck so it isn't all bad.

They are clearly one of the worst OLs in football this year though and that will have a negative impact on Ronnie Brown. There is some young talent along the line though which could bode well for later in the year and onto 2008.

When Brown, Caddy and Benson came out I didn't expect greatness from any of them, but I did expect Brown to show more than he has, even given the lack of players around him. IMO he will never be more than "OK."

what it is is a shame

i relate Ronnie brown's RB situation to David Carr's Qb situation wher we dont really know how good those two guys are

Jason Allen and Ted Ginn first rd picks dont help either

Others have hit the nail on the head. While I believe Ronnie dances far too much behind the line, that line is bad. Granted 1 game, but Green looked awful. Team in transition.

I do believe this offense has some nice tools (Ginn, use Booker & Brown a la Bush/McAllister fashion) that could offset how lackluster Green may be. More likely, Green is bad, they change to Lemon/Beck with Beck starting by the end of the year)
