Donald Butler (1 Viewer)

Early reports from Chargers camp seem to suggest that Donald Butler is fully recovered from the injury that he suffered last year and is poised to ascend to the starting lineup alongside Takeo Spikes, who has "taken him under his wing." Is the WILB traditionally the most productive spot in the Chargers' LB corp and does Butler have the talent to excel in that role at an elite level? Does he have the potential to be a 3-down back? Thank you for all replies.

Butler was in a lot of nickel packages instead of Spikes tonight, though his 6 tackles were quite "low" against all the Michael Bush rushing somehow.

Still, encouraging.

not that encouraging from what I saw!! N. Diggs sucks and cant tackle yet was in for Butler alot and appeared to steal base line snaps as well!!! SD needs to wake the hell up, when Butler is in he is making solid tackles and playing well in coverage yet they pull him for Diggs who cant tackle and looks out of place!!! OK done venting!!!

I've been trying to keep an eye on this situation as much as I can...it sure seems like Butler is playing less and less, even on base downs. It doesn't make sense. SD homers, are the coaches giving any insight as to why this is taking place?

I watched most of the game as it was on a second TV and I honestly didn't see Donald in the game....while I saw Spikes and Diggs both slow to the ball.

I was shocked when I saw he ended with 6 solos!

As a dynasty owner of his, I can only hope a 3 down role is in his near future!
