Carolina Panthers running back DeShaun Foster and wide receiver Drew Carter lined up as starters for the team during their Saturday live scrimmage. Running back DeAngelo Williams also saw action during the offense's first series, getting stopped at two attempts to score from the one yard line.

Darin Gantt of the Rock Hill Herald suggests that DeAngelo Williams won’t get goal-line carries this season.

He’s looked awful at the goal line throughout camp and Gantt expects DeShaun Foster or Nick Goings to be used in that role. He also mentions that Eric Shelton has looked as bad Williams. Aug. 6 - 9:34 am et
