Don't draft list (1 Viewer)

Everyone has a few players they just don't like and won't draft sometimes for no reason but a gut feeling. Who are yours this year, Mine are Chad Ochocinco, Reggie Wayne, Ryan Mathews (mostly because he is going way too high), Dallas Clark, Carson Palmer, TJ houshmandzadeh, Donald Driver, and Bolden.

Based purely on ADP, a few off the top of my head:Jamaal CharlesKnowshon MorenoBrandon MarshallAnquan BoldinDallas Clark

Arizona Cardinals other than the kicker.

Seattle RB's

Not a fan of much of anyone on the Chiefs. I loved what Charles did last year but to list him second on the DC tells me that this is going to be full blown RBBC and someone will draft both RB's too high based on last year's stats. Cassel has not impressed me and none of the WR's. I could be wrong on this front. A strong running game from TJ and JC could open up things for Cassel and the WR's but I'm letting someone else take the risk.

Shonn Greene. I don't have anything other than a gut feeling about this but he's getting an awful lot of love for very few good games. He's in a great situation and could very well explode but he hasn't yet proven that he's a 250 + carry and LT will see the field a lot on 3rd down and possibly in the red zone.

There is no one that I won't draft, but players that I feel are overvalued and probably won't be on any of my teams are:

1) Tom Brady (I can get Cutler or E Manning about 3 rounds later and get similar production)

2) Anquan Boldin

3) Shonn Greene in PPR leagues

4) Felix Jones

5) Carson Palmer

6) Desean Jackson in PPR leagues

7) Larry Fitzgerald

I agree about Brady, forgot to put him down.

Lee Evans , Hasselbeck

where they are being drafted:

Knox (taken so early no longer a sleeper)

Favre (taken to early)

He went 1.6 in my league.

No player should ever be on a "Do Not Draft" list unless they are seriously injured. All players have value.

 Everyone here is lying if they say that they won't draft some of these projected 1st or 2nd round players if they fell into the 4th or 5th round.

Why is everyone down on Bolden???
Personally I am not a huge fan because he is always getting hurt so it's a risk that he will be there when it counts come playoff time. He is also on a run first team now and is playing in a tougher division against the likes of Pitt and Cincy instead of cream puff D's like St. Louis and Seattle. I would still take him if he fell but not at where his ADP is.I also don't like:Rams WR's - not a Bradford or Feeley fan and I don't think any of them will be consistent.Arizona offense - self explanatoryPortis - Portis seems to wear down as the year goes on and now you have Shanahan and his shuffling of RB's to deal with.Tampa Bay offense - although I would take a flyer on Mike Williams very late; will probably be gone by the time I want to pick him though.Cassell and KC WR's - got burned by Bowe last year and I have no reason to think Cassell is any better in 2010.Mike Sims-Walker - don't trust Garrard enough to take him around his ADP.Vince Young or Tenn WR's - CJ is the only skill player worth taking IMO

His ADP is based on his past production in AZ. He's in a new situation.....let's review1) BAL is a run-first team. The offense will go through Ray Rice.2) Mason is still a viable target for Flacco, despite being in his late 30s3) Tends to get nicked up4) May take a few games to completely get in sync with Flacco.I think Boldin is a great WR and a great acquistion for BAL, but at his current price of WR15 (really it's WR14 due to Sidney Rice's hip surgery), he has little upside to finish in the top 10 WRs. If you look at history, to be a top 10WR in fantasy, you usually have to have one of 2 things occur......1) catch 85+ passes, and/or 2) catch 10 or more TDs. IMO, Boldin likely won't do either, so you're paying full freight for him. With a career YPC of 12.8, he's going to need to catch a ton of passes to get to a top 10 WR. At around his ADP, I would rather have Wes Welker (PPR leagues assuming he's healthy), Michael Crabtree, Steve Smith NYG (PPR leagues) or Steve Smith CAR. All these WRs have a better shot at a top 10 WR ranking than Boldin IMO.

I was fairly pleased with my picks there, though I was burned hard on guys I targeted like Royal and McFadden. Marshall was my big bust on avoision.

This year Wayne might be a good AVOID pick. I had him last year but 2nd round again... eh.

In the spirit of this thread I would agree. However, there are certain players I would never draft no matter where or how cheaply I could get them. These are based purely on ethical or moral reasons. An example would be Michael Vick... he will never be on any team of mine no matter how good he is as a fantasy player.

I had no intentions of drafting Boldin, but when my 4.02 came around (12 team 1pt/PPR) I looked at what was left... and took him close to his ADP. He was the 17th WR taken, 40 overall. Heap used to be the Ravens passing game... ok exaggeration, but he's a non-factor now. I think Balt will throw a bit more as Flacco continues to improve. Mason is still there, but Boldin has to be the go to guy, doesn't he? How many TD's will Flacco toss? Twenty? Twenty four? Maybe even more, if the Ravens CB situation puts them behind in some games? Boldin has the talent and potential to surprise, but I'm hoping for 80- 925-980 and 9 TD's. I think he has to be Flacco's primary red zone target. Crabtree could blow up, and I might regret passing on him at 4.02, but he has competition for targets and especially red zone targets. BTW, both Smith's were gone as was Welker. I lucked out and got TO at 6.02. My do not draft players include any RB from DEN, WAS, NE, TB, AZ, BUF unless they really drop. I'm sure I won't own Fitz in any leagues this year, or for that matter, any IND WR's. Just too much competition for targets.

Relative to draft position, these guys can pretty much have the "do not draft" stamp and won't be on my teams:

Beanie

Mendenahll

Moreno

Fitz

Steve Smith (Car)

Wayne

Well if the players on my "don't draft list" fell very far I would draft them.

I think you're missing the point.Of course we would all draft a player eventually, but most of us read "do not draft" this guy as "I probably won't draft them because I value them a good deal lower then at least one owner, and probably multiple owners, in my leagues so I will not have an opportunity to draft him for he will be gone long before he is value for me" this guy.Don't be so literal.

:goodposting:Same exact situation for me - was hoping that Crabby would fall to my late-5th rounder.Boldin's talented enough to produce, though he is getting the shaft because most assume Flacco isn't going to be throwing too much. That defense isn't what it was. They'll be throwing enough for Boldin to get his.

?? The point differential between Brady and Eli/Cutler will be greater than the differential between Peyton/Brady. Peyton avg'd 1 more PPG than Brady in 09. Brady avg'd 4more PPG than Eli last year.. Cutler is a crap shhot at this point. All we know is that he has issues with maturity and he's pretty good at throwing TO MARSHALL <who makes every QB look better!! I guess it depends on your scoring system; in mine he ended up QB4. I dont care about their Oline, Rodgers seemed to do ok behind a horrible line. Give me a healthy Brady in 2010 all day as soon as 3.3 pick! I also like Moss to improve this year and love Tate with Edelman insurance for Welker.. If you're ok with Peyton going in 2nd then Brady should be fine there shortly after him. Id love to hear why anyone thinks his #'s will decrease this year besides an improved Def
