Don't forget position eligibility when ranking players. (1 Viewer)

I think it plays a HUGE part in the ranking of players. For example, a couple of years ago, Bill Hall was an absolute BEAST because you pretty much put him anywhere (SS, 3B, OF, DH, etc.) Keep your eyes out for players like this.

Also, the same could be said for pitchers who are going to the bullpen or are converting to starters. The big one is Adam Wainwright, RP for the Cards. He's starting this year, but in most leagues, he should qualify for both SP and RP.

The tricky part about eligibility ( at least, for the less knowledgeable like me) are those changing positions this year, who won't show up as eligible on your league's list at that position for ten games (at least that is what it is at ESPN).

Hall - OF (shows as SS-eligible only)

Teahen - OF (shows as 3B only)

Others????

Kevin Kouzmanhoff is a big-hitting prospect who will be starting at 3B for San Diego yet currently (on Yahoo at least) is only eligible at UTI. He'll be 3rd Base eligible within the first week of the season and most feel that if he stays healthy (injuries have plagued his young career) he can hit 25 or more HRs this his first season in the bigs.

BJ Upton is listed at 3B only right now in Yahoo. Rumour is he has a great chance to start at 2B over Cantu. Something to keep your eye on. One of the players I like this year with muti position eligibility is Ty Wigginton. In Yahoo he qualifies at 1B,2B,3B, and OF.
