:confetti:

A bag of Doritos chips will soon look like the rainbow.

The company has partnered with the It Gets Better Project to announced a new, limited-edition product to celebrate and support the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community in the boldest, most colorful way possible.

Doritos Rainbows chips is the first Doritos product made of multiple, rainbow-colored Doritos chips inspired by the Pride flag. However, the bag of colorful chips is only available to consumers who donate to the It Gets Better Project, an organization that supports LGBT youth around the world.

People who donate $10 or more in support of the project will be mailed a bag of Doritos Rainbows chips, while supplies last, according to CBS8.

"Time and again, our consumers have shown us, there really is nothing bolder than being true to yourself and living life to the fullest," said Ram Krishnan, chief marketing officer, Frito-Lay. "With Doritos Rainbows chips, we're bringing an entirely new product experience to our consumers to show our commitment toward equal rights for the LGBT community and celebrate humanity without exception."
Should sell well among lesbians.

cant we be serious, for once?
Serious about a multinational big food company whose products contribute to a growing national epidemic of childhood obesity co-opting an important social issue to boost their brand identity and make consumers feel self righteously proud to pay for disease-causing processed grains with food coloring?

I will not eat overpriced food for charity.
It is basically a donation to the It Gets Better Project. I doubt anyone who purchases a bag of these on line is doing this because they want chips for the Sunday games.

Rainbow Doritos Are Sold Out For 2015

According to Frito-Lay, all 10,000 bags of rainbow Doritos have been sold and no more will be produced, at least not this year. The promotion netted $100,000 for the It Gets Better Project, which will receive 100% of the receipts. Meanwhile all of Teabagistan continues to quiver in impotent rage and rain down vile abuse on the companys social media accounts. (Tipped by JMG reader Brent)

Southern Baptists really really want to boycott Frito Lay over this, but your looking at 36% of their diet.

Dilemma..

Rainbow Doritos A Gay Gateway Drug

The announcement yesterday that Doritos will soon release rainbow-colored chips to support the It Gets Better Project, which works towards preventing anti-LGBT bullying, naturally drew the ire of conservative pundits like John Nolte of Breitbart, who said that Doritos is flying the "colors of anti-Christian hate and oppression."

But Noltes protests pale in comparison to a column in the right-wing American Thinker by Ed Straker, which could be confused for parody.

Straker writes that the new chips are "the perfect gateway snack to introduce children to the joys of homosexuality," lamenting that nowadays "its perceived to be cool to push a specific sexual orientation on children."

Calling for a boycott of Doritos and all products from its parent company, Pepsi, Straker urges conservatives to "push other companies to launch pro-heterosexual campaigns" by, for example, persuading "a hot dog maker and a hot dog bun company to do a joint effort promoting man-woman relationships."

Doritos Troll :lmao:

@Doritos ForHelp

Maybe you should have made them weiner flavor.

Doritos ForHelp

xxx, do you peronally enjoy "weiner" flavoring?

and

Jesus would eat Doritos.

why would you want "weiner" flavor? Personally, if they could make my weiner taste like Doritios, my dance card would be filled every night :D

Supposed to bring chips for the freshman high school parent night; would have loved to have brought a couple of bags of these just to see the reactions.

I think the mouthbreathers could have tolerated a Doritos boycott, but when you introduce Pepsi you're talking Mountain Dew, which I have heard is sacrosanct in these communities. And I'm sorry that last sentence has to be parody.
