Downgrade Ravens defense? (1 Viewer)

They got manhandled by Tennessee? Did anyone see that coming? I know Ray Lewis is hurt but they got enough defenders to make up for his loss. Is he really to blame for that horrible defensive output? And I read he could be out a while, so this could be a trend, no? Any homers know the deal?

In the leagues I am in, I get most of my points for turnovers, sacks and DST TD's. Unless it's a shutout, it doesn't matter much how many yards or points they give up. They will still get the above mentioned.

I don't know. But, I don't plan on carrying another defense on the roster that I have the Ravens. They are my LT of DST's. I never have to think about who to start.

On Sunday, Ray's replacement also got hurt early in the game and the defense spent the whole first half scrambling around with guys playing out of position. They have enough playmakers, however, that they were able to stifle Tennessee in the second half while the offense got going.

All year they have been a gambling defense, vulnerable to capable passing attacks and the big play. But from a fantasy point of view, all that gambling can result in scoring from sacks and INTs. Where the 2000 defense just crunched teams (that was the best tackling team I've ever seen), this version blitzes and flies all over the field looking for a sack or a pick and an easy TD.

:goodposting: I was wondering how the Ravens DEF would handle a scrambling QB,...with next weeks game who knows.

It's an intriguing matchup, with the speedy Suggs and Adalius Thomas on the flanks trying to contain Ron Mexico. They'll try to keep him in the pocket while the secondary tries to bait him into a poor throw.

They're still going to be :moneybag: in your FF playoffs.

w14: @KC (success depends on whether Green/Huard is QB)

w15: CLE

w16: @PIT

w17: BUF

1-20.00 2- 21.00 3- 11.00 4- 5.00 5- 5.00 6- 7.00 7- Bye 8- 24.00 9 -14.00 10- 4.00

Season total by week. the 4-6 stretch had me worried, then I thought they were back on track until Sunday. Another Tennessee esque performance and I'd be inclined to start worring again.

Even actoring in their Fantasy Playoff sched, if their not getting the points, I'd rather take a 12 point Charger performance than take a chance on a Ravens 4.
