This league is over 30 years old. We took over in the late 80s and the agreement was never to change it. Half the owners are from the inception. The rules are archaic, but I caution you how difficult it is to draft and perform this way. You must live with what you draft and suffer all consequences. In leagues where you can drop/add, this allows for making up for mistakes. This league does not. You must know the rosters and players very deep on teams.
Rules:
No trades
No drop/add
All TDs worth 6 pts
No yardage pts
LIVE/DIE by the draft
***Remember, this started before most anyone knew about fantasy football. Basically, you draft what you get and you must survive weekly.
Draft Analysis: With all TDs being 6 pts, QBs are king. Starting lineups are 1 QB, 2RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE/PK.DEF
1.03 Brees: QBs are killer in this league and you need the best
2.08 Forte: Should get the love even with Bush there
3.03 Nelson: He is a TD machine and getting him in the third is money
4.08 Ridley: A little reach, but with Vareen most likely out, he should be fine for double digit TDs
5.03 Bryant: Dallas is screwed right now, but Bryaant should still be solid
6.08 Charles: Jamaal should be money and I think he was a steel here as my #6 RB
7.03 Vick: As a backup to Brees, money all day long
8.08 V Davis: Needed a TE an dhe was still there as my #5 overall. Not bad for the value
9.03 DJax: As a backup WR as a punt returner, this is great value
10.08 T Gonz: A little reach, but a backup TE of this caliber this late is good
11.03 Britt: As the #4 WR, great value when he is back. Locker will be looking his way
12.08 Wells: Great #4 RB. We will see if he come close to last year. If so, great value
13.03 R. Wilson: As a #3 QB, he is a reach. This was due to #10 being stuck with no QBs and a WB heavy league. Plus, no sex from the wife without getting someone from NC State
14.08 D Wilson: Need to get a backup/compliment to Bradshaw. Nothing wrong in this high powered offense this late
15.03 M Williams: As a deep sleeper and #5 on my list, he should do well. With VJax getting the coverage, he should out perform 2 years ago
16.08 D Williams: RB out of CAR. Not bad for depth. Hope to use him on matchups and BYEs
17.03 NE D: Needed one and the score very little on the season
18.08 D Moore: Reaching deep at WR, but this is not too bad this late.
19.03 D Ware: Solidify Bradshaws backups. This may be a a wasted pick, but it could pay off huge
20.08 Bullock: Needed a PK, not too bad if he wins in Houston
21.03 Nugent: In case Bullock does not win the job.
22.08 Gabbert: Nothing like insuring others may miss out on starters. He is bench fodder and starter fodder to other teams
