Draft Enigmas...where do they land? (1 Viewer)

I read about Taylor Mays' extreme athleticism but lack of coverage skills and it makes you wonder how he would do at other positions.

I know it's crazy, but could he be an amazing running back? 4.31 speed at 230 pounds is unheard of.

It's probably a bit late to make such an extreme shift now, but it makes you wonder what could have been.

I can't remember a year where so many top college QBs are "enigmas" as this year. McCoy, Teebow, even Clausen. These guys could go anywhere from early to mid first to third in the case of Teebow or McCoy.

I have to ask: Would Steeler fans be upset if Pittsburgh took Tebow in the 2nd round?
Yes. Too many other needs that need addressed before spending an early pick on a developmental type of qb. Steelers really like Dixon's potential. If Steelers brass thought they had to go this route than I would rather them get Claussen in the 1st before they would draft Tebow in the 2nd.

Nice work guys :banned: Todd McShay has Jimmy Clausen going to the 49ers at #17. If he lasts that long I could see them taking him over a team need such as OL or secondary. Smith is not the answer. Don't know whether it's valid or just pre-draft B.S. but they're talking up Clausen around the Niners orginization. I know with two first round picks we need to address the O-Line and secondary but it would not surprise me, remember we're dealing with the YORKS :loco: , to see them draft C.J. Spiller at 13 and Jimmy Clausen at 17. Of course both picks mean nothing if they're off the board when the Niners picks roll around.

Great read and love the angle, but for Mays to go to the Bengals at #20 (it's actually #21), that would essentially mean that three safeties would be off the board at that point (Berry, Thomas, Mays). I don't know that that has ever happened in the modern era, or ever for that matter.Of course, I've strongly expressed the changing of the component of the safety position on this board for the last couple of years now. That being said, if this pick were the case, it would ideally suggest that draft trends in regards to safety are adjusting and changing with the times. Even moreso, with today's demands of solid secondary play.

Fixed.
