Draft "help" (1 Viewer)

Hey guys,

Just wondered if any of you have some computer program recommend a pick for you....even if you don't take the advice. I don't mind paying some moolah!!!

Please help....this is my first time ever doing this fantasy football!!!!!!!!!!

thanks for waiting the 8 minutes before blasting everyone for not jumping at the chance to make your life easier.

i hear there's a great forum over at fanball, maybe they'd be more helpful.

Wow...thanks for all the great advice!!
Since you dont mind paying, buy a FBG subscription. The Draft Dominator is awesome. Or build a consensus cheatsheet from all the free sites then jockey them around according to your preference like I am doing this year.

Thanks all.

Was referrring to advice on another forum....cause I realized draft stuff like my question belonged on a different forum other than shark pool.

Is that draft dominator easy to use? I'm new to all this...

I'm assuming this is really bad shtick, but in the off chance I'm not going to be mocked som:e:where else for even bothering:

See post #4. There's a link there.

Click it.

Follow instructions thereafter.

Consider yourself led to water.

Would it be improper to ask for a 10% coupon code, etc. for one year subscription? Also, does this entitle me to the draft dominator premium version?

You can ask for anything you want, but there are no coupon codes. Yes, your subscription entitles you tot he premium version of DD, and of the Projections Dominator, and of the VBD spreadsheets, and the Lineup Dominator when the season starts, and all the premium articles, and the daily emails during the season, and the weekly projections during the season, and it gets you into the $35,000 contest. In other words, just do it.For more reasons, see http://footballguys.com/whysubscribe.php

Why would FBG give out 10% coupon codes on a $25 subscription. Is it even worth the hassle for $2? The cost of a subscription is the best investment you can make with regards to fantasy football. The amount of content will blow your mind. I promise you will never have a chance to read even half of it. And yes it entitles you to the premium version with daily updated projections. :wall:

I have used three different draft software out there I have used. PC Drafter, Rotowire and Draft Dominator.

I have experience with all of them during the last three years. Without a doubt Draft Dominator is the best. PC drafter is second and Rotowire's is the weakest.

Draft Dominator is worth a subscription all by itself. It's not as user friendly as I'd like, so make sure to explore the options and stuff well before your draft...but that is MORE THEN MADE UP FOR in it's flexibility.

Ok, guys!! I signed up for the Draft Dominator!! BUT......thing has me drafting peyton manning at number 5!!

I am in a 2 starting qb league with 6 pts. per td pass....but is this right????

Even more specific:

My league's starting unit: (6 pts for all touchdowns)

2 qb

2 rb

1 wr

1k

1def

1 flex (rb/wr)

1 flex (wr/te)

and....

5 bench guys

How would I set this up to maximize my draft????

Once you have the Draft Dominator, you can set it up like that. It will do most of the work for you. Just follow the draft and let the DD do the picking for you. Also, I believe once you have the dominator, there is even a tutorial on how to set it up and use it.

But Peyton at pick 5????Gotta be doing something wrong!!HELP....my draft is in 2 days.
A start 2 QB league with 6 pt. TD passes? Peyton at 5 is definitely to be considered..ETA: did you put in the flex positions?

I tried....but not sure how to put in 2 flex postions with each one having different criteria??? Posed this question on the application forum...but no response.

Here’s how I would set it up..

QB: 2

RB: 2.5

WR: 2

TE: 0.5

K: 1

D: 1

This is how I've been putting in my flex positions. I think it works this way and make sure you uncheck the flex boxes.

Hi Bill...welcome....I think the above mentioned idea would work well with your dilemma. In a 2 QB league, I wouldn't be shocked to see Manning at #5. One more piece of advice though.....shoot too many quick, smart comments at guys for not responding quickly, and you'll start seeing many more  :wall: :wall: :hot:  , etc. Joe, who runs this board has a saying, "Be good to each other". Do that and you'll find this to be the most informational, helpful group you'll find.

Try this mock draft site for practice.

MFL mock drafts

Pick the appropriate league size and your slot, enter name and email, and draft away. This will give you a decent idea of how the draft will go.

Note: it doesn't allow for specific scoring/roster mods. - so the data will be somewhat off, but you can click on the results link and evaluate / print out the info. Just draft according to your scoring/rules and you'll see what players are around your picks. I'm sure you can replicate this in DD to some extent, but this site also includes other live owner drafters, vs. computer (ADP only) generated picks.

Once you run through a few (or dozens  ) you'll get more comfortable and better prepared for the real thing.

What a weird starting line up, and only 14 man rosters.

yeah....this is my first draft...but i find this to be a little different than others i seen. Although, I think that the 2 qb starters makes it a little more strategic (perhaps not). Is there an easy way to "improve" this lineup?? Anyway, much thanks to everyone who had some nice constructive information on this topic. Your expertise is much appreciated!!What a weird starting line up, and only 14 man rosters.
