Was looking to get some feedback. I just recently purchased the TSN 2008 Draft Mag, but the info is quite outdated already - listing team needs but not up-to-date with FA signings. I like the way they break down the draft prospects, and the team needs... just don't like the old info. I was also disappointed to see that they don't have the same guru that Bloom was pimping last year (can't remember his name).

So... are there any magazines that provide more up-to-date info? Are there any websites that breakdown the players the way the TSN mag does - just updated?

Russ Lande is still with Sporting News, and he is in that mag! (just looking at it now lol) He is the guy that Cecil and Bloom got on Draft Guys TV for the expert opinion. He did GM jr, but unfortunately is not doing it this year.

Most Draft mags have some outdated info. The best I've found is Surefire Scouting. Their info is pretty accurate and the analysis is comprehensive, and easy to read.

Lande used to be a scout for the Browns or Rams or both I think. Of all the draft gurus out there he has the most impressive resume to me (although that Browns scouting was pretty brutal there for a long time).

Besides the Draftguys analysis, the other source I refer to on the NFL draft is Jerry Jones' The Drugstore List - he mails out 3 editions of his draft report in hard copy each season (Kickoff in October, Preview in January, Final in late March) and also offers a top 250 list free on the web site linked above (updated 3/20 most recently).
