draft strategy help (1 Viewer)

I was just curious as to anyone's opinion on how to go about drafting when you rank players on your own. last year i did this for the first time an ran into the problem that i had guys ranked very high, but took them way too early because i thought more highly of those players than others. i ended up losing a lot of value because of this. should i just look at my rankings and compare them to adp or what?

thanks for any help.

I will typically use a draft list when I draft. Such as printing out the rankings here. Then I will highlight players I like more than their ranking. I can then try to reach a bit for players I like but hopefully not reach too far.

This is really basic. Whether you use your rankings or a site's rankings, make sure you have current ADP (average draft position) numbers next to each player. That way you can easily see where you value a player much more than the general public. You should then try to draft that player later than your rankings have him, but a little earlier than his average draft number, so you can be relatively sure to get him.

That way you can use the earlier rounds to draft rock-solid studs that you and everyone else know should go high.

Hope that helps.
