I have good knowledge that 1.01 will be Youkilis. Not sure about 1.02.

Most teams kept 3 or 4 pitchers....three teams kept 2. I'm thinking grab the best hitter now (Kelly J or Matsui), leaning 2B as the dropoff is bigger than OF, and then take at least 3 SP in the next four to five rounds. I doubt any of these arms make it back to me though. Thoughts?

to me it would be between Matsui and Kelly Johnson. I picked Matsui because I think he has a few more very decent years in him, but I'm pretty high on Kelly Johnson this year. Last year he lost out on a bunch of AB's, and still put up good numbers. The Braves offense this year has a chance of being pretty damn good, and If Johnson bats near the top, could be a very big year. I'm not nearly as high on Kinsler as some others. Guillen is nice, especially with ss eligibility. None of those pitchers you mentioned overwhelms me, although I do like Hill and Francis, I expect they'll be available on the way back, especially if teams are keeping 4 SP's.

given 2B is clearly a need, Ian Kinsler is your best play. He has 20/20 potential this year. In your league scoring system, it makes him better than any other choice at that position. Given this is a keeper league, I think it further solidifies the choice of Kinsler.

Both he and Johnson have good keeper value. Sounds like you go Kinsler because he is the "safer" pick? Not sure either one cracks my keeper lineup next year, if my roster holds true, as they'd have to be in my top 8 (Braun and Wood are minor keepers this year, Braun must be a major keeper next year).I will also say that there is no way Kinsler, Johnson or Pedroia make it back to me. The pitchers, maybe if the guru is right. The only 2B keepers were Utley, Upton, Phillips, Roberts, Weeks, Cano and Uggla....leaving half of the league without 2B filled. Other guys out there are Kent, Hill, Hudson, Escobar, etc.

This would be the correct answer.

Kinsler seems to be the choice here.

Let's say the draft goes 1.1 Youk and 1.2 Kinsler.....Johnson or Matsui? Sorta my original debate....it's a tough one.

Essentially, it comes down to getting my UTIL later with every position available, or locking that in first and getting a lower tier 2B (who still might suprise...Kent, Hudson, Hill, Polanco, Kendrick, Hill, Wigg, etc).
