Cecil - my man - speaking from the experience of one who has gone from a somewhat athletic body to one that is a parody of Peter Griffin, I have to say - skin tight lycra is not the way to go. Loose fitting cotton is much better for all of us.

Way to go guys - it's good to see you subjecting yourselves to some minor humiliation with the intent of learning. Way cool.

:lol: This really would have put things into perspective.Many people who don't lift weights will not understand how much these guys acutally bench press. I am guessing both Sigmund and Cecil would have had trouble doing one rep at 225.Also, by the looks of it their 40 times would have been in the 4.9 range. (no offense guys).Can you guys do this again doing the combine work outs for different position please and thanks. Haha kidding. Thanks for posting guys. If you can't laugh at yourself you don't deserve to laugh at anyone. I am sure you both have had many laughs watching yourselves perform some terrible work out skills.

Honestly they have no chance of sniffing a 4.9

I was gonna say...I'd be pretty happy with a 4.9. I would probably have to be timed with a calendar or sundial.

You have got to be kidding. I ran the 100 (yard) dash in high school and was in better shape than either Cecil or Sigmund and I doubt I could have run a 5.0 forty. No offense to Cecil or Sigmund but I would be surprised if either broke 5.5 in the forty and I would think Cecil would be in the 6.0 range. Remember, Malcolm Kelly ran a 4.75 on his Pro Day. A sub 5.0 is pretty fast for anyone who has not trained.
 
I am not sure that performance enhancining drugs could help that workout....

Speaking as one who has abs like Cecil... :lmao: but I do agree with all the other posters:

The average person just does not understand these numbers. A 4.5 to the average person would feel like you are flying.

The average person just does not understand these numbers. A 4.5 to the average person would feel like you are flying.
My first thought one I saw the 4.9 was "I would be THRILLED if I could do it in 4.9" I ran a 4.7 in high school and thought I had decent speed. I would be shocked if I would get under a 5.5 now.

rocking it about 240 lbs in that vid, now I weigh 226. My God what airport food will do to you! :lol:

I can still bench press around 280, so getting up 225 would not be a problem. Now getting a ton of reps, that would be another story.

For years now I have let cardio work go by the wayside and it's very obvious. :goodposting:

It's a far cry from the days when I would throw down slam dunks and ride my ninja shirtless. :cry:

I can still touch the rim, and am wanting to buy a chopper/cruiser. :banned:

This was a TON OF FUN, and next year I should look much leaner and meaner. :thumbup:

This was classic. Next year, please find a way to run the WR drills. I want to see you two run the gauntlet--who is with me on this one????

I also think one of you running the 3 cone drill or shuttle at the same time as a prospect would be very cool to see.

If you look closely, you can see Cecil throwing the ball as part of the gauntlet, I think maybe Stevie Johnson's episode?Ill do the 3 cone next to a player if they have to do a 7 cone. or maybe a 9 cone.

The red, white, and blue headband had a nice 70's-80's throwback look, too. Maybe you can do the 3 cone next to a NT doing a 7 cone with a few plates strapped on a sled that's tied to his waist?I'm scared some of these folks will want Cecil to auction off that shirt as a part of a contest promo.
 
I would pay to see a gauntlet contest - but I'd be afraid someone would end up with a concussion.....

 
I wonder if they would catch two passes on that receiving drill. That would be fun to watch. But that first pass (where you have to spin and catch the ball) might just kill one of them. Personally, as a former wide receiver, now 52-year old grandfather, I certainly wouldn't want to try any of those drills and I still THINK I have good hands.

 
You guys are being too hard on the shirt. The shirt was fine. It was the stuffing that made it look bad. I know - I have several great looking shirts that seem to get ugly fast when I put them on too. I just have enough sense not to be around a camera when I do! :football:
