Drafting #2 tomorrow (1 Viewer)

I'm in a PPR league so receptions can't be discounted. I'm in the #2 slot tomorrow and expect LT to go 1 and am overthinking who to take at 2. I know the obvious choice is Westy or AP..... but both come with risk especially Westbrook due to his injury history and age.

So....you never win your league in the 1st round so I'm thinking of going SAFE, and it's hard to find a safer pick than Addai. Pulling a few picks early but what are your thoughts on this pick at #2 ???? And no, we are not allowed to trade draft picks so no trading down.

I have Addai in my main league (been a keeper for years) & I'm scared to death of him. I don't think him a "safe" pick at all w/ the injuries to Peyton & Saturday + the return of Dom Rhodes.Faneca didn't play for MIN, he played for PITT. Tony Richardson was the FB in MINN & he is now a NYJ. As for not choosing ADP, that's your call. If you don't take him I wouldn't hesitate to take Westbrook. He is the Eagle's offense this year. You could also go SJAX (had a ton of receptions two years ago). I like Addai, but I'd never take him at # 2 & I'm scared to death.Hey, the guy may take ADP at # 1 & then you could snag LT.ETA: If this is a redraft, I think BW is a no-brainer. If it's a dynasty, I think ADP is the no-brainer. If it's a keeper league, pick one & go.

I would go Westy here in a PPR league if LT wasn't here.

I also don't think Addai is a "safe" pick from an injury perspective. I had him and Wayne last season so I watched just about every Colts game on Sunday Ticket and it seemed like just about every game he left the game for a quarter or so with head and neck injuries. He was always getting banged up and sometimes he would return, but a lot of times if it was a blowout he'd just sit out the rest of the game. It was really frustrating at times when I just needed a few more points from him and there he was on the sidelines with the trainers again getting his head/neck/shoulder/etc looked at. Everytime the guy took a hit I would cringe and see my entire season flash before my eyes.

Addai isn't safe to me. In a PPR league BW is a safer bet.

I picked Westbrook at #2 in one league. He's only missed 2 games in each of the past two season.

In a PPR League at #2, you take Brian Westbrook. Period. End of story.

Secondly, there is no such thing as "Safe" in Fantasy Football. Addai will be productive, but he wore down over the course of the season. With Dominic Rhodes back in Indy, I'll guess that Rhodes factors in again, and gets around 10-12 touches per game. Also, Addai's isn't adverse to taking himself out in goal-line situations,though he scored 15 TDs last year.

Honestly, you can't go wrong with either,but do yourself a favor, take Westy.

I think #2 is early for Addai. I did take him in my league where I picked 4th (no PPR), but actually considered Barber there. In my otgher league, picking 2nd (w/PPR), I took Westbrook.

For me Westbrook was a no-brainer at pick 2 in a PPR. Even more so with Curtis out.

BTW - Addai actually missed more time than Westbrook last season so I don't think he is the safe pick at all.

Westy all the way in PPR. I had Addai last year and loved watching him get stuffed by the Raiders on the goal line....(wk 15). I lost my playoff game by 2 points. I'm a hater now.....

I really hope you went with Westy and if not him, ADP.

Hell I might take Marion Barber over Addai at this point. At least he didn't just lose his starting center.

taking addai at #2 seems like it would be about as unsatisfying as eating a rice cake for lunch.
