Drafting in the top 3 (1 Viewer)

I know having picks 1-3 is not a bad position to be in this year because the conventional wisdom is you can’t go wrong in the first round by taking one of the big 3. However, I’m wondering more about on the way back in the 2nd and 3rd rounds (Assuming a 10 team performance redraft league with 1 PPR). I think there are some big question marks out there with the two quick picks you get to make in those 2 rounds. I’m seeing in many drafts there are possibly guys out there like Willie Parker, Chad Johnson, Holt, Gates, Kevin Jones, Westbrook, TO, McGahee, Dunn, Taylor, Droughns, and of course the flavor of the day Reggie Bush. Now I know not all these guys will be around at picks 18-23 but probably some combination of the 5 will be. Who do you like with picks 18-23 and do you think Reggie Bush or Gates should be considered with these picks?

I'm picking # 2 today....not sure who I'm taking in the first round....you?

In the 2nd and 3rd round....there is Bush, Dunn, Parker, Gates, Julius....but are they worhty of such a high pick?

I think that with my 2nd and 3rd pick, I can grab 2 of the top 8 WRs, and then in the 4th and 5th rounds take RBS to fill the 2nd slot.

Last week I drafted first overall and took LT2. I was able to get Holt and Willie Parker in rounds 2 & 3. Somehow was able to get Kevin Jones in the 4th, but today I am lucky enough to draft 3rd and this whole Gates and Reggie Bush thing has my head spinning. I am almost positive Gates will be there for me with in the 3rd, but I also think Bush will be there as well. The FBG have Reggie ranked very high like he is a for sure thing this year. I’m just not so sure I want to take such a risk on an unproven NFL rookie who will be splitting carries all season. I just can’t see justifying taking Reggie with a late 2nd early 3rd pick. If he slipped to the 4th round, I think I would jump on it.

Check the posts in the draft index thread. i know we got to at least the 5th round in one of the #1 slot threads.

My 1se three picks last week from the #1: Tomlinson, Harrison, McGahee
