Drafting Tonight at 8:30 (1 Viewer)

Figuring I am going to have to Gronk in the first, then turn around and get Jordy Nelson and Wes Welker if I am lucky in the second...

May be better off getting the 2 WR's in RD's 1 and 2 as there are plenty of TE and QB to go around.

Draft order is determined shortly, but if I get the first or second pick...gotta take Rodgers and hope for the 2 WR's at the 2/3 turn....if not I am screwed.

Should be entertaining...really cannot miss out on Peyton Hillis and Toby Gerhardt...big trouble if I miss them. Danny Woodhead and Brian Leonard are the only other guys I can think of.

Eric Decker, Austin Collie, and Brian Hartline will be filling out my WR corps.

Can I do it?

Can I make the playoffs?

Will update shortly.

Actually I found a sporcle on this...fun waste of 10 minutes...did ok, coulda been better for the amount of time I have researched caucasions today

Danny Amendola is another...:placeholder:
Decker would fit nicely as your flex
Would totally work in an auction...A team of RodgersHillisTobyNelsonWelkerDeckerGronkCrosbyBest defenseWould be a contender imo...maybe not win, but contend. But I am going to struggle to get Rodgers, Gronk, Welker, and Nelson
Yeah, it will be really tough to get a decent team to compete if you miss out on 1 or 2 of those players.

But I am going to struggle to get Rodgers, Gronk, Welker, and Nelson
Forget Rodgers, I don't think you can take a QB in the first because of racial scarcity at other positions. If you don't get both Welker and Nelson, you don't have a snowball's chance in hell. If you get Welker/Nelson/Gronk or Graham that'd be a great start. TE isn't as racially scarce as other positions but the edge you'll have at TE will be worth it - plus there's really not going to be a lot of guys in the 3rd/4th round that you'll want that won't be a huge reach. Can you trade at all?If you somehow got Welker/Nelson/Gronk in the first three rounds:4th - Decker if PPR, Hillis if not - again, a reach, but you must have these guys, can't take a chance5th - Hillis/Decker6th - best QB available (Rivers/Romo/maybe even Ryan) Good start to a team, but I'm not sure you can get Gronk/Welker/Nelson in the first 3 though.

Dont think I can trade picks...well I probably could "off the site" but that is too complicated.

Hoping for late first round pick to get Gronk/Welker

years ago a guy in an online league did this ....

team name was "The Caucasian Connection"

RB's were Alstott and Travis Jervey

(can't remember the rest of his team)

won like 2 games

There was another thread on this somewhere - but I can't seem to find it. Have you read that one?

Didn't Jordan Shipley get signed a few days ago - Bucs maybe?

I think because of the depth at white tight ends, you should get Rodgers or Brady in the first, then welker and Nelson in the second and third (Decker can be your backup option, or possible fourth rounder). Then grab hillis in the fifth and you're on your way.

Later tight ends are a breeze.

Yep. If you want any chance at all, you need Welker and Nelson. There are options at TE and especially QB if you get desperate late. But RB and WR he needs to secure or it won't be done.

So no Gronk?
I think there's a pretty decent chance Nelson is there in the 3rd for you. Not sure what his ADP is but I think it's a reasonable bet. So I would grab Gronk/Graham at 10, Welker at 12, then pray that Nelson falls. If he doesn't, then you take a QB who has some upside - there may be a non-zero % chance that Stafford falls depending how this league drafts, otherwise you start considering Ryan/Rivers. Then Decker/Hillis in the 4th/5th, then Witten hopefully in 6th, etc.

Ryan Mathews- bi-racial and raised by his white mother.

Plus he dyed his hair blonde for you this year.

Took Gronk and Welker in rounds 1 and 2...

There is 100% chance Jordy makes it back to me...Only 3 players NOT RB's or QBs gone so far are Calvin, Welker, and GRONK
