For the third week in a row, we’ve partnered up with Draftstreet to do a FREE one-week fantasy league with $500 in prizes exclusively for FOOTBALLGUYS members.

Congrats to jpsmoke for pulling out a first place victory in the week 2 FOOTBALLGUYS freeroll despite a subpar performance by Cadillac Williams on MNF. All he needed was 3.7 fantasy points from Caddy and he just barely got it. None-the-less, a win is a win and jpsmoke took home first place.

Again, the drafting is salary cap style, which means you try to make the best fantasy team for week 3 while staying at or below the $100,000 budget. Rosters include 2 QBs, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 2 FLEX, and 1 Defense. Player salaries are determined based on their expected fantasy performance, with recent performance and aspects of the matchup considered. So, Phillip Rivers has an expensive price-tag at $18,537 with a matchup against the weak Chiefs defense, while Kerry Collins costs only $9,113 having to go up against the Steelers defense which gave up zero points last week.

You can adjust your roster up until the contest starts on Sunday, September 25th at 1:00pm ET at which time your rosters will lock and the Live Scoreboard will be available.

Loooks like the salaries are higher this week across the board. Last week it was a matter of picking the right studs. Things seem tougher this week.

I got an invite from another site for their free roll, though it didn't pay as much. Funny thing after I chose that team I went to enter my FBG team selection and the site won't let you do multiple free rolls even if you belong to multiple sites. I wish I could delete my other site team, since if I happen to win again, I would win more money with FBG. Oh well it's only one week.
