DST Draft Strategy (2 Viewers)

I typically try to draft a Tier 1/2 defense and then hold on to them until the bye (or they start costing me wins).
We charge for add/drops ($1 each) so streaming can get pricey after a while. I was considering using the SOS chart to draft a team with
better matchups for weeks 1-3 or 1-5, and reevaluating at that point to keep roster moves down a bit.

So my question: Is it better to evaluate DST by SOS or Avg Points Per Week when drafting?
Also, if anyone has found DST weekly projections I'd love to see those as well.

If I’m not looking for the top defenses everyone is talking about I usually try to find the def that is on the field the least… the defenses for the teams that run a lot. The less time on the field the less time to give up points.
OR
I do the opposite and try to get teams that see the most passing snaps simply to get the most opportunities to score points. Like Cincinnati. They are not a good def but will get tons of opportunities to score because there offense is so good. Teams will be continually throwing giving lots of interception and sack chances.

Kind of depends on the scoring system. Turnovers and sacks are usually king but if you have big hits for yards against and points against then it may alter the approach.

In general I haven't found a good predictor for current year and most of the time I look for terrible offensive teams and go with that defense. In your case that doesn't sound feasible due to the real money cost.

I wish I could be more help but I am not sure there is a good answer.
