Now or Never Mr. Baldwin.
Now or Never Mr. Baldwin.
It's actually helpful. Have him in two leagues where he was bench fodder. I'm sure most people were in the same predicament - didn't start him and didn't drop him.Huge disappointment. This shouldn't hurt anyone.
It hurts me we start 3 receivers and 2 flexes, I already have 4 receivers on IR and we only have 1 IR spot, it is going to be tough to field a lineup next week without having to drop one of themHuge disappointment. This shouldn't hurt anyone.
I have this weird feeling he goes to Baltimore or New Orleans.Bowe will be in Miami next season
Never. The KC offense completely fell apart Sunday once Bowe went out, which is consistent with Baldwin's career to date.
You don't think they've tried that?I've heard Baldwins route running leaves a lot to be desired. So does Randy Moss, Vincent Jackson, Calvin Johnson....most king sized receivers. They make up for their inability to run quick efficient routes with their size. Quinn should just throw the ball in his general direction and let him make a play on it. If you are 6'4" with a 42" vertical I don't think you should worry to much about him being open. Throw it high and let him sky. What is the worse that can happen, Quinn throws an int. and they lose?
No not really. Baldwin had 2 targets last game and in fact hasn't been targeted more than 3 times in the last six games. You don't think they've tried that?I've heard Baldwins route running leaves a lot to be desired. I have a sneaking feeling it will be Greg Jennings in Miami not Bowe.Bowe will be in Miami next season
...and what has Baldwin done with those targets? He's just not any good. The entire Chiefs passing game needs overhauled with the new regime. Well I don't have a break down of every target, but there is a better than average chance that with Quinn and Cassell throwing the ball passes never got within reach of him. Also he caught the same percentage of passes thrown to him as Bowe. They just don't throw to him enough. Bowe 114 targets 59 catches....Baldwin 35 targets 18 catches....and what has Baldwin done with those targets? He's just not any good. I'd like to see what Baldwin can do with a decent QB before casting him out. The Chiefs have too many needs and this is not the year to take a QB #1 overall. If it were me, I'd draft Joeckel in the 1st and Mike Glennon or Tyler Wilson in the 2nd....and what has Baldwin done with those targets? He's just not any good. Geno's worth the #1 pick, I expect to watch his stock rise throughout the offseason as the public realizes it too. The thing with this QB class is you cannot bank on any one QB being available in round 2. Someone among Glennon, Wilson, Barkley, etc. will fall but it's anyone's guess who. All have warts, all have upside, just depends on the fit on a given team.I think Geno is the right fit for KC because it will prove Baldwin supporters right or wrong, he's the downfield threat Geno needs. He also has his speedy underneath guy in McCluster, and a great running back. He just needs another outside threat, which will come with pick #2. If Baldwin can prove himself as the downfield threat he's supposed to be Geno will be the guy to do it. If he's a farce it will be exposed and you can expect him to be replaced before 2014.From what I've seen Baldwin doesn't get separation and struggles catching the ball in traffic. That's a bad combination for a WR. Just like college though he's lucked into a blame the QB situation, eventually he will stop running out of excuses, which is why I think KC must add a WR. If the problem really was the QB then KC just created a special passing game very quickly. If the problem was Baldwin it will be easy to move on from him.I'd like to see what Baldwin can do with a decent QB before casting him out. We could debate this, but you're probably right that his draft stock will rise before the draft. I don't see Smith as a top franchise QB in the mold of RG3/Luck or with the potential and raw talent of Newton. He's more likely to be a mid-tier QB who makes a few highlights but won't carry a team. He'll probably be the #1 pick but that's more a lack of other QBs at the top. Give me a OT like Joeckel or a DT like Lotulelei over an average QB.Geno's worth the #1 pick, I expect to watch his stock rise throughout the offseason as the public realizes it too.
