[Dynasty] 2018 Draft Class (5 Viewers)

Antonio Callaway looks the part but has more to prove to NFL teams

Should the Colts Roll the Dice on Antonio Callaway?

Antonio Callaway claims being away from football changed him, vows not to disappoint if given NFL opportunity

Scott LaPeer @scottlapeer

From a reliable source: Indianapolis Colts scouts visiting Gainesville Thursday re: Antonio Callaway. Colts have three 2nd-rd picks and are considering taking Callaway that high despite numerous troubles at UF.

Memphis WR Anthony Miller (foot) ran the 40-yard dash in an unofficial 4.48 seconds while notching a vertical leap of 39 inches during Tuesday's pro day.

Miller (5'11/190) has been fighting through shoulder and foot injuries for the past few months, ailments which prevented him from participating in the Senior Bowl and likewise kept him from running the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine. It's a great look for Miller that he pushed through to run the event on pro day -- shows toughness -- and the universe rewarded him with quite the respectable time. A likely Day 2 selection, Miller appeals as a steady prospect for draft purposes. Just last week, NFL Media's Lance Zierlein forwarded that he had heard from multiple teams that were viewing Miller as one of the safer receiving prospects in the class.

This player could end up being the biggest steal of the 2018 NFL draft

Excerpt:

Which single player do you think will be the biggest steal of this draft?

Brugler:
We'll have to see who slips in the draft, but an early guess would be Memphis wide receiver Anthony Miller, who has been quiet this pre-draft process because of a foot injury. His tape shows a top-50 player in this draft and he will be a steal if he falls a little bit because of the injury. I think Indiana tight end Ian Thomas will be a steal as well.

2018 NFL Draft prospect profile: Anthony Miller, WR, Memphis

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline writes that Memphis WR Anthony Miller (foot) was "double catching a lot of throws" during Tuesday's pro day.

Miller (5'11/190) was able to take part in testing and the like during Tuesday's pro day after working his way back from foot and shoulder injuries which had been limiting him during the evaluating season. While Bleacher Report's Matt Miller passed along an unofficial 40-yard dash time of 4.48 seconds, Pauline's hearing that his times were somewhat slower than that on the whole, closer to 4.55 seconds when averaged out. The latter analyst also notes that Miller's routes in drills could have been more crisp. While this was not a perfect pro day showing for the wideout, he remains in play for a potential Day 2 selection. One small matter: Miller was unable to finish his Tuesday workout due to a leg injury. Pauline writes that it appeared to be a mere cramping issue, but we'll keep an eye on his status moving forward. As previously mentioned, the Memphis product has been working through foot and shoulder issues.

Hey, I don't write the mock's. Maybe the thought process is that he is on the extreme high end of SPARQ?
You didn’t read it. He’s talking about DE Bradley Chubb at 10th.

I agree that Chubb at 10 is heinous. Teams would be trading up. That whole mock looks super off base. I mean, they have Lamar Jackson and Mason Rudolph in the 1st and Josh Allen in the 2nd. Classic case of the site’s mock taking into account their observations and rankings and ignoring the news around teams indicating that they value the players completely different.

They do it based off where they have players ranked, not where they think they’ll go off the board. You’re right though, I thought he meant Nick Chubb. Bradley Chubb has below average 3-Cone and agility score and they have Landry ranked higher because of it.

As much as I like Anthony Miller, he screams injury history and for the rest of his career.  I don't want a piece of him unless it's way late in a rookie draft or a FA pickup.

I mean, I wouldn't mind Tremaine Edmunds at 28...

Ugh, this draft is way better than the Steelers will actually get. Tremaine Edmunds in the 1st, Christian Kirk in the 2nd, and Damon Webb in the 3rd. ILB, WR, S, takes care of 3 of our biggest needs, and Kirk is an extremely solid slot guy to fill the role that Rogers left. This is never gonna happen, but it sure looks nice.

Lost me at pick 4.

This is fun. Vita Vea's full name is really

Tevita Tuliakiono Tuipuloto Mosese Va’hae Faletau Vea

And there's a few missing apostrophes and the name Fehoko in there somewhere.

NC State RB Nyheim Hines visited the Cowboys on Wednesday.

The Cowboys don't have a player like Hines on the roster. The closest player of note was Lance Dunbar. Hines is quite different than Ezekiel Elliott, but that might be viewed as a positive. He's a role player, but one who creates big plays in space or as a receiver.

More or less fun than: Equanimeous Tristan Imhotep J. St. Brown

or his brothers, Amon-Ra Julian Heru J. St. Brown and Osiris Adrian Amen-Ra J. St. Brown.

Real Sports with Brian Gumbel had an interesting story about the 3 WR brothers, "The St. Brown Master Plan." It featured the family, and how their dad has been grooming them for greatness from day 1. Or rather day 0, because he chose his wife based on her "good genes".

Are Michal, Johnson, Penny, and Moore in the same tier for you guys? If not, how do you see things?
Kerryon?

I have Michel in a 3rd tier, along with Penny. Johnson for me would be in the top of tier 4 of RBs

I have Moore in the top tier of WR along with Sutton and Ridley.

As far as where they will go in drafts, it will probably go Michel, Ridley, Moore, Penny, Johnson as far as ADP Id imagine. Could for sure see some taking moore over ridley tho

Today it would look like this for me, but for sure put me down as one who thinks landing spot and pedigree matter.

Tier one: Barkley

Tier two: Guice

Tier three: Michel and Jones

Tier 4: Johnson, Penny, Ridley, Moore, Sutton
